Paul Warne was on the radio saying that if you had a league table of clubs based on budgets then as a general rule the clubs final league positions are usually 2 places above or 2 places below their budget table position. Obviously there are a few clubs that do much better or worst than the budget table but for most this is the indicator of the range where a club will finish. He was talking as if it was a well known fact, I don’t know if he is correct but it seems a reasonable guideline, any thoughts on this claim.

Let's hope we dont finish 2 places below our budget this season. 2 places above might just see us finish safe in 20th.

Assuming this site is accurate www.capology.com/uk/league-one/payrolls/ … The two highest wage bills in League One last season were those of Derby and Portsmouth, both of whom were automatically promoted. The two play-off finalists had the 4th and 5th biggest wage bills. So at least as far as wages are concerned it’s clearly a huge factor.

If that's true then Lincoln, Stevenage and Orient should be pleased with how they performed (Particularly Orient and how well organised they were final game of the season).

Slow start but we battered them for most of the game , marosi was for once and maybe forgivably not on his game that day seeing as he knew it was his last , couple of others let us down too but 3-1 flattered them enormously
