things are that dull in your unimpressive world you have to worry about the result of a team 4 leagues below, what a sad muppet you are.

How sad are you?
Harmerhillshrew, we may be a different club in name, but in spirit we're still the Telford United that scared you lot off the pitch twice last season.

So AFCTU fans don't revel in the fact that the Town are struggling too? Yeah right.

Greeting's SNFC. How are you this fine morning? What a heartfelt and passionate summary of yet another of KFC's gutless display's.
Now, if i was a particularly vindictive and bitter individual i would take great glee in reminding you of your "sympathy" to myself and others following the debacle that occurred on November 11th of this year.
But i won't. Such is the almost touchable feeling of utter despair eminating from your keyboard i will resist this perfect opportunity for rejoicing in your pain .
Get over it and enjoy what's left of the holiday. Every fan of every team has been where you are now.
One final thought though, perhaps this is the standard that you deserve to be at at this moment in time and that the expectation levels at the Duck Shed are overly ambtious. A nice ground and decent support does not give you any more chance of success. Half of your players are no better than West Midlands league ability and that is where the problem lies.

I disgaree Jamo, half our players are NOT good enough for the unibond league, never mind not being too good for it!!
We seem to have no concept of what is required to get out of this league.
We have fallen into the trap of buying cast-offs from other clubs (STFC and WBAFC for instance), which is something I have been critical of down the years. What we need is a good scouting network of lower non-league teams to pick up the better players from them and move on from there.
We have ended up (IMO) with another bunch of mercenaries, with a manager who doesn't seem to be able to motivate players.
I seem to recall a few japes about the signing of Briggs Jamo, but was particularly reserved after the Histon result if I recall correctly!
A very happy new year to you too sir!!

Please don't mention Histon, i come out in a sweat just thinking about it. Games and results like those and your's last night make us a touch more realistic as to our place in the main scheme of things fotball wise. It does not however dull the sense of sheer frustration that we feel at the time.
You too have a great new year. I hope all your sporting wishes come true.

One of the things the Darlo game drummed into me, and will continue to do so I expect is that the ability of players is a much smaller factor in the success of a team than I thought.
Their attitude, organisation and knowledge of role in the team the basis for results, which can then be added to.

Can I just add that when McNally bought in Drysdale and said "he had something to prove" - was I the only one wondering What ? He had proved to me over the few games I saw him that he was an average Unibond league player.......

Didnt think fans of a particular team where accountable for debts, your so full of cr@p hammerhillshrew and one of the reasons i rarely post on here, a lifetime fan STFC Where did I say the fans were accountable for the former clubs debts. I clicked the link given by Sleep Eezee and read the thread. I found the post by lifetime fan amusing as the club is only 8 months old. And as a lifetime fan of STFC yourself I would expect you to know how to spell the villages around our great Town Now go crawl back under your rock in whatever part of Telford you live

More alcohol might ease the pain 3 Points against kendal (whoever the hell they are) and the promotion push might still be on TBH though can't see why everybody from the telford side is so upset, fans think there team is better than it actually is , looking at the league Will'hall have turned in better performances and points to show, they are placed in the league because of there successfull results, are the telford faithful losing faith ? Happy new year btw

I played golf at Kendal GC once, and a very enjoyable round it was too.

SNFC's description of the Telford performance hit me as being word for word a decent description of STFC under the QuinnReaper.

HNY Dunc, you're missing the point mate!
Its not an expectation of AFCTU to beat Willenhall or that we're a "big" club etc.
The issue is a lack of desire and competitive personnel on the pitch, playing to a system and looking interested!
had we have shown those signs on Thursday night, I would have had no issue with the result.
For example, we won 3-2 at Ilkeston in a great game, in which we competed superbly from the start. We scored twice in the last 5 minutes after being 2-1 down.
Personally, I had resigned myself to a 2-1 defeat and was quite happy in that because we had played well and felt that Ilkeston were a bad saide. There's a big difference in being disenchanted in results and performances!

I can understand where you are coming from SNFC but I know a team last season that got tanked 5-0 in a gutless performance, but still went up via the playoffs You hold a playoff position at the moment so dont lose heart. I have seen your team twice this season, once against us in the SSCF when you looked quite handy and once at the Bucks Head against Kidsgrove when you were awful. Might pop down Monday if work allows for this top of the table clash

mm, great offer that, but extra petrol needed to get to HH and I don't have a clue how to Milk.
I suppose I could give Eddie Mullard a ring, he'll tell me how to milk I expect!!

Disgrace SNFC, from a supporter of a team that was kept afloat for years by the money of the Chairman of the Milk Marketing Board

A few(notice I'm onlytalking about a minority here) of the AFCTU fans seems to be in the same mindset as a few Salop fans were last year.
Salop were putting in poor results last season but managed to retain a half decent league position in a similar way that telford are. The fans can't expect a brand new AFC team to walk the league - surely the expectation for AFC's first season is just to survive and not have a repeat of last season?

I agree entirely, however to compete would be nice too!
I don't expect us to walk the league or turn sides over every week, but I do expect us to be competitive!!
With the exception of Ilkeston I have yet to see a decent side, but I have also, with the exception of AFCTU, not seen an uncompetitive one!
