Apart from the goalie, those are all good problems to have

We need a couple more wingers surely. Can’t go into the season with just Bloxham and Shipley. Wouldn’t like to see Bloxham used from the bench to be honest, no way should he be starting. Apologies but your post says would not like to see Bloxham used from the bench and no way should he be starting, are you saying he is not good enough to be on the pitch in any capacity, or have I misunderstood? My bad. I’d like to see him used as an impact sub from the bench. Don’t think he’s good enough to be starting in League One just yet unfortunately. Tends to really drift out of games as well.

Based on the performance yesterday I'd go with a 4-4-2 with the midfield 4 in a diamond
Keeper Feeney Nsiala Pierre Nurse Winchester Bloxham Benning O'Reilly Lloyd Marquis

He looked great running down the right at I think it was Charlton for example last year, created there, that one sticks out to me. Whether from the start or as an impact sub he has a opart to play for sure

I think darkshrew means
DM - Winiesta MR - Blocko ML - Benning AM - o'Reilly
The diamond ladies and gentlemen. Don't see it too often anymore for prob good reason.

Goalkeepers: Savin Young
Defenders: Hoole Feeney Nsiala Pierre Nurse Benning
Central midfielders: Winchester Perry Biggins
Attacking midfielders/wide players: Shipley Bloxham O'Reilly (loan)
Forwards: Lloyd Marquis Kayode
Out on loan Mata Idowu
17 on board. Nearly a full bench! Much more than I expected before July is even over. Definitely will be space allowed for a couple of late loans I would think, so can't be that much more before season starts

One winger and one CM/CAM and I’m happy.

One winger and one CM/CAM and I’m happy. I'm hoping for another defender or at least utility defensive option. Personally I'd prefer more of a deeper lying CM, more in keeping with a Hinchy replacement, than a more attacking option. Both would be good though! And yeah definitely another attacking option - Bloxham and Shipley look like starting wide players but other than that it would be players filling in away from their more natural positions (Benning, Lloyd, O'Reilly etc)

Possibly this Rossister guy A right sided defender And Possibly another attacking option
Perhaps a loan or two more but it's looking like a squad of around 20-22 with 17 already being in.

18 now in with Rossiter. Full squad if all fit.
We know they are expecting/hoping for another centre back and also possibly a couple more, so squad more like 21/22, unless those incomings are also due to other outgoings.
Maybe 2 more attacking players - one winger and one forward?
Guess we shall see against Oldham bit closer what a first team XI might look like but id guess this for first game as we stand
Savin Hoole Feeney Nsiala Benning Rossiter Winchester Bloxham O'Reilly Shipley Marquis
Subs Young Pierre Nurse if fit Perry Biggins Kayode Lloyd

I’d still bite your hand off for 20th, but I think we’ve got the squad to make a good go of it. One more centre half, and one more versatile attacking player and I think we’re sorted. Possibly a specialist right back depending on what PH thinks of Feeney as cover for Hoole.

It's a shrewed squad, with some quality and versatility.
Now that Rossiter is in that makes 18 - there could be 3 more with the other younger Feeney probable, Nolan also could be in the frame for a contract (though i'm not sure how I feel about that), there could be one more probable loan up front or on the wing I guess.

Based on the performance yesterday I'd go with a 4-4-2 with the midfield 4 in a diamond Keeper Feeney Nsiala Pierre Nurse Winchester Bloxham Benning O'Reilly Lloyd Marquis from what ive seen so far, tom would be a sub for me , nurse a reserve , and as I said at the weekend we need a young lanky cb on loan

Nsiala and Feeney both play in the right CB role - has Hurst played them together as a pairing yet ?

I was always confident that Hurst would put together a hard working competitive squad. These signings exceed my expectations as he has added quality and potential above our modest budget, possibly taking a chance on injury doubts. The balance of the squad looks the best in years. I think we will see greater use of early subs than usual and more rotation, simply to protect some players.
I'm excited by whats happening and gutted to have missed the friendlies. Just Hoping I'll be fit for 10th.
In Hurst we trurst.

Haven't changed much
I'd say
Savin
Hoole Feeney Toto Benning (Though you're right both centre backs are right footed there).
Winchester and Rossiter
Lloyd O'Reilly Shipley
Marquis
Can find a place for Bloxham and Biggins at present Then you have Young (GK) Pierre, Nurse, Biggins, Perry, Bloxham, Kayode, from those on board plus the others to come in.
Might find that O'Reilly burns out and needs a break hence Biggins or Perry or even Nolan.

Kayode will probably challenge Shipley for a starting place.

Nsiala and Feeney both play in the right CB role - has Hurst played them together as a pairing yet ? They did against Brum. Wonder if the rumours of Josh Feeney as the other centre back, might be wrong as it appears he is another right footer. You'd assume if they got another one he would be a leftie?
