I think of Shrewsbury as a middling to big league 1 club. Some of our fans, however, are small club. It's time to move on and have Telford as of some benefit to us instead of being way down low.

Just like Shrewsbury, Telford don't turn up for the play off final. Much improved, so the aim has to be automatic promotion next season. Could we aim for that too?

Tyrone Barnet played a big part for Leamington. Obviously still enjoying his football.

Some great content on Twitter. Love the picture of the smoke bomb away at Alvechurch with a crowd of around fifty people and a couple of dogs watching on in the background.

What benefit could they ever be to us? The relationship ended when Cowan left. They've always been more interested in allowing the dingles under 11s to ruin their pitch. Fantastic to see them come up short. Gift that's keeps giving.

I reckon we could aim for automatic promotion out of the cranberry sauce leagues, yeah. The third tier, where we actually play and is four levels about Telford, will be significantly harder for sure.

Think you've answered yourself with the first part of that statement. No longer in a reasonable non league position. Long may it stay that way.

It was only 20 years ago we were in the same division and couldn't beat them in 4 attempts and not only that they had a new ambitious chairman who was about to take them places , they needed it they had been stuck in the conference for so long , I bet they wish they were still there 🙃

Possibly not even Telfords No1 club these days.

That's not true. My kids went to feed to ducks in the quarry yesterday and there are Telford stickers saying Shrewsbury are "scum" on the signs. That's not a rivalry I particularly want but if they're coming for us then game on.

"Welcome to the Conference". I can still remember the banner hanging from the bridge when we got relegated.
And some Juan from Telford saying somefing like, "I've waited 42 years to be in the same league as Shrewsbury". And when we were in the same league as them, it was through our incompetence, not them getting promoted.. They had 4 cup finals that season, but they were NEVER above us in the league. We'd never have heard the last of it if they had.
So when I saw the score from the kick and rush league, I didn't laugh............much.

Watched on the live stream , Telford had a good first 20 minutes and a good last 10 minutes, but overall I would say Leamington managed the game better and probably deserved to win.
