I'd welcome virtually any of the old established FL clubs over the likes of FGR and Sutton.
Least Chesterfield are heading back this year.

Oldham for me, as I lived within a stones throw of Boundary Park for 30 odd years so have some affinity for the club and its supporters.
They did have a good chance of getting into the play off spots but that was dashed after a poor run in when they failed to win in their last 11 games.
Micky Mellon will be disappointed, especially given that they had the second best home attendances behind Chesterfield.

Any of the Manchester clubs (Oldham, Bury or Rochdale), I used to love an away day in that part of the world

Oldham missed out on the playoffs this season but under Micky Mellon I reckon next season they could be in with a shout. They've certainly got a good fan base behind them.

If York were still at Bootham Crescent then it would have to have been them but unfortunately they’re not. So I’ll go with Hereford as Edgar Street is how a football stadium should be imo.

Workington Town would be an interesting addition, seeing as they play rugby league. Workington is who you're thinking of ..... unless .....

Gateshead, sadly they are not eligible to take place in league 2 play offs as their ground cannot be guaranteed to be owned by the club for the relevant amount of years. According to EFL rules. Disappointing.

Workington, Bradford Park Avenue or Southend.
First as I saw them in their last but one season in the League.
Bradford Park Avenue as love the name.
Southend as close to me and their fans are another that have been subject to an awful owner for a long time

I think it's possible to have a few categories for response to this... Established rivals: Long-serving Football League clubs: - Bury
- Darlington
- Halifax
- Hartlepool
- Oldham
- Rochdale
- Southend
- Torquay
- York
'Familiar faces': - Barnet
- Kidderminster
- Scarborough
Glad that Stockport, Notts County, Grimsby and, of course, our red-shirted friends from up the road have rejoined the action in recent years.
