Gives us another night to prepare our banner to hang over the bridge on M54.

My attention's now on the Northern Premier League West play offs for a place in the Premier Division (one below National League North). Home town team, Runcorn Linnets at home to City of Liverpool tonight, home to Prescot Cables or Bootle if they win. They've lost the final for two seasons running, so really hoping they'll do it this time.

Well that went pear shaped. Sell out 1,600 crowd but lost 0-2 to City of Liverpool. Third play off defeat in a row, despite John Bishop's good luck message. As the buckethatfm co-commentator put it: "Always the bridesmaid, never the bride? We weren't even invited to the wedding." There followed a fantastic diatribe against the team - -only finished second because the league was so weak, that team would have been lower half last season and relegated the season before. When the commentator said they'd gone flat since February he chipped in with "since August". He complained that people don't realise how hard it is to try to make the games sound entertaining when the team's playing "boring, s**te football. We get a win and everyone thinks we might be alright, get behind the lads, then we go and draw against a s**te team". Kept thinking of Stuart Dunn and Steve Cross and wishing we'd heard a bit of that from them! Best part of it was that he's on the club's board - that's fan ownership for ya! Love it - but the manager and players might be in for it if the rest of the board thinks the same. And they finished second! I'm definitely going to be dropping in on buckethatfm again. In fact that's whetted my appetite for a bit more non-league football next season.

See Telford won the play off semi 2-0 against Micklover tonight.
No idea about the other semi or who Telford play in the Final though.

Home to Leamington in Final on Monday I have always liked Leamington! Well I’m hoping for a Telford win, local team history and all that. I keep hearing references to their striker Montel Gibson (great name) so checked him out 6 in 20 for Telford but seems he was under PH at Grimsby although he released him…. Stats aren’t great bu5 maybe he’s a late developer.

I’ve got loads of friends who support Telford inc. my next door neighbour, all very friendly no hatred 👍 A few sad fans take it too seriously, same with Wrexham 😂

I know many long term Town fans living in various parts of Telford. It is safe to say that those with close neighbours who are Bucks fans have, at best strained relationships and some are not even on speaking terms. My personal experience was getting our car stoned whilst leaving the Car Park at the Shed. I have not experienced that anywhere else, not even Vale.

Like I said a small minority think it’s fair game, every club has them, even us…..I’ve only ever once had a guy at a garage say, your wearing the wrong shirt, I said your supporting the wrong team, we laughed….. I was on a coach that was stoned by Wolves fans in 79 but I don’t hate them, or think they’re all tarred with the same brush

My old man was demobbed from the Navy at the end of WW2 and got a job in Birmingham. His cousin was playing for WBA so him and a few colleagues would go in a Saturday to watch Villa or Albion. Whenever Wolves came to Albion he became aware of the hatred between two neighbouring sets of fans travelling to the ground on the same trains. He said it really was hatred. I him to a couple of WW/WBA games at Molineux in the 70s and was surprised when the Old Gold mob in the corner were gouging up concrete from the terrace and launching it at us on the South Bank. It could and probably did cause serious injury to someone, perhaps a pensioner or child but are we supposed to turn a blind eye because some of the others were just goading but not actually throwing?

S Moors equalise. The EFL awaits Bromley or Moors. A bit of Cheek from Bromley - He scored Bromley's goal.
Man in a fire proof suit has to remove flare some moron threw.

Bromley 2 Solihull Moors 2. 15 mins of extra time left. Supposedly S Moors are fitter, Bromley having older players. Time to make that pay, let's not have penalties.
