When I was a lad in yesteryear we'd call them windup merchants.

I hadn’t realised the process of obtaining information from the club was so straightforward. I’ll be e-mailing tomorrow to make an appointment. Don't forget your choice of biscuits Good advice. I think a Hobnob is the order of the day😉 Anyway, after my chat with the chairman about the club’s financial situation and the ongoing dialogue with prospective new owners I am going to email and ask for an appointment with Hurst &Doig to discuss a new playing squad, preferred formations and the width of the pitch. If all that goes to plan- and apparently there’s no reason why it shouldn’t, I am going to arrange a meeting with the bloke who serves the real ale under The West Stand to talk about staffing levels and future promotions. If only we’d known it was this straightforward. Could have saved years of grief on the site.

3 weeks since the AGM and coming up to two weeks since the season ended, still nothing from the club.
We got our 'message from the chairman' 2 days after the season finished last season but nothing so far this season, I suppose it would be asking too much to expect it 2 seasons in a row. My only hope is the reason we are hearing nothing is because Roland feels its pointless writing an end of season review/plans for the future season message when he won't be here for much longer.

That's what you've got to hope. Hopefully when it all goes through Roland will do a message in handing over. I for one will appreciate all he has done for the club over the years even if I'm sure it's the right thing for the club if he steps away now.

I did ask the club and got a message back from Liam via an intermediary at the last game (don’t want to name them but not as secretive as it sounds) that the club don’t see a necessity to make a further statement although the message bearer thought this was a mistake as rumours will just roll on.

That doesn't surprise me at all to be honest and probably best sums up their attitude towards us. For me there's two angles to this and why I'm annoyed. Firstly is we've just announced record losses and had the reserves wiped out, of course this is amongst a backdrop of major change on and off the pitch with Roland paying the wages of out of own pocket, yet no one at the club feels they need to give any reflection on any of this. Perhaps a simple 'things were bad but thanks the measures Roland has put in place, the future looks brighter than it does 12 months ago', to put our mind at rest. But no, let's just go back to standard STFC and keep radio silence. The second thing is simply the club said there would be no comment until after the AGM, certainly to me that would suggest that there would be a comment but there's nothing. To me, it's just basic PR and another example of the club messing up their messaging Anyway, roll on the new regime.

To me, it's just basic PR and another example of the club messing up their messaging Anyway, roll on the new regime. Does seem an odd one as the press release on the club website said the following (in capitals so must be important) in relation to the accounts THERE WILL BE NO COMMENT FROM THE CLUB UNTIL AFTER OUR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) ON THURSDAY, APRIL 18. So at that stage there seemed every intent to make a statement, but nothing has followed, so at best it’s a clumsy bit of PR - don’t say you will do something in big capital letters then don’t do it. Additionally I’m assuming in line with normally AGM’s a series of papers on the clubs accounts, assets, staffing etc were produced for shareholders at the meeting. So the update information exists and just needed summarising and releasing to the wider supporters base Another PR rule is that if you don’t publish information, the public then fill that void with their own views, theories and rumours, which means the club losses control of the narrative - so might leave people thinking things are far worse than they actually are. I personally don’t think there is much actually happening but a simple statement summarising the AGM and accounts would seem a helpful thing for the club to produce - not least as they said they would do it

Supporters treated like something they’ve trodden in.
‘Come and pay your ticket money, come and volunteer your time for free, but don’t dare ask questions as you have no right to know’
Can’t wait for some more transparent leadership.

As stated lack of info breeds rumour...
So here's a rumour from me:
Maybe the club is in a process of a sale which dominated the AGM and hence why we have had radio silence.

All makes sense really , the AGM itself was a goodwill gesture for shareholders , clearly nothing remotely of interest was said or it would have instantly appeared on here , what we need is nothing to see here sign, I tried waving one 🪧😝

Nothing in the Shropshire Star, so either nothing to report or something they were asked not to report.....

I am very lenient on the club, especially RW. I try to be understanding and will trust the processes but the club implying that they would make a comment after the AGM to then say nothing after such worrying accounts is just insulting.
Prime opportunity to bring the fanbase together to fight through a difficult time but instead fans feel alienated.
Football without fans is nothing.

I know I am in danger of offending many on this board when I say for once Blue and Amber is behind the curve on this. Esteemed B&A posters may have missed the posts by an attendee at the AGM, in another place online, written from their perspective. AGM minutes are always slow to get circulated and approved. However I take your point and will ask Liam on Sunday if I can to see what he says
