I voted for Max Mata so personally I’m both livid and confused.

I voted for Max Mata so personally I’m both livid and confused. The Sligo Rovers voting bloc wasn't as mobilised, sadly.

Winchester always puts in a good shift. Very reliable player. Fully deserved imo.

We’d be playing League two football next season if it wasn’t for Marosi. Countless crucial saves in games we’ve eke’d out points. Honourable mentions for Benning and Feeney

Being serious I was surprised Winchester won it should’ve been Marosi, but feel like there’s an element of disrespect in some of the reaction. Over the course of the whole season he’s been one of our most consistent, and remember under Taylor he was moved from RWB to CM and back again every five minutes. I’m not having that Benning or Feeney are more deserving than him, not over a whole season.

The awards being yesterday would explain why quite a few of the players were suited & booted in town yesterday and enjoying themselves. I had a bit of a drunken conversation with our player of the season whilst stood next to him at the urinals in the Salopian. I'd forgotten he was Northern Irish, couldn't understand a word he said

I assume there was no young player of the season (since we have none!)?

I assume there was no young player of the season (since we have none!)? Weve got several young players. Whether any of them were good enough to be Young player of the Season is open to debate though.

I think it’s the fans’ evening on Tuesday so it will be interesting to see how the results compare.

And so onward towards the retained list. When looking back at the individual performances I expect there are a number that PH will think worthy of staying on, can't see a wholesale clear out as some have been suggesting.

I'm sure that there are one or two that PH would like to keep but we aren't in a position to offer them anything like what they,or their agents, think they are worth. If they are prepared to take a 50% drop then maybe

Bizarre how there was no young player award. We’ve got limited options, but surely just give it to Bloxham?
Bit of recognition for a young lad who’s done well since he came back and made some important contributions. A nice confidence boost for him as well, no doubt.

Serious questions to be asked of Liam Dooley if he's allowing rival fans to rig our player of the season vote under his watch. I voted 86 times for Ryan Finnigan and he didn't even get a look in.
