Why is every Juan so afraid of Pompeii? I'm not. I expect to give them a right game. Big crowd, big atmosphere, I expect our lads to rise to the occasion. A number of our lads have played higher level football, they might want to show they can still do it, especially with the end of their contracts coming up. Then theirs lads like Bloxham, hoping to forge a higher level career if possible.

Saydee just missed a sitter for Portsmouth. Mendez Laing and Collins playing for Derby plus Blackett-Taylor who we remember scoring for Tranmere in the last minute just before Covid stopped all football. ....and Ebu Adams for Derby. We had him on loan from Norwich for the first 6 months of Hursts first spell. He hardly got a kick anyone d went back That was the squad when we could have had a midfield 3 with the names Abu, Abo and Ebu.

Got to get at Pompey from the off,and give them no time on the ball... That's where the effort and desire comes into it.... whether that happens, we'll have to wait and see🤷

If we play like we did on Monday it could be a long afternoon. I’m yet to decide whether I can put myself through watching it on ifollow yet!!! We’ll need a bit of lady luck if we’re to get a result and another MOTM performance from Marosi. A penalty wouldn’t go amiss…!

We’ll need a bit of lady luck if we’re to get a result and another MOTM performance from Marosi. A penalty wouldn’t go amiss…! It was an awful performance on Monday, for sure. The only positive was that we actually got a point out of it when typically we would have been soundly beaten. I think Hurst will have read the riot act and am expecting a much better performance. Usually at this stage of the season those pushing for promotion/play offs tend to find ways to win and so I'm not expecting any sort of result for us. Having said that, Shipley should be available and from Monday's game, it's clear that Sobowale is better deployed as an impact sub and that Hinchy's ball playing ability is needed from the off. It's also possible that AOB gets a little more motivated for this one and comes back to haunt his old club. We might spring an unlikely surprise but I am more optimistic of 3 points from a (hopefully) very tired Wycombe Wanderers a week Saturday.

A penalty wouldn’t go amiss…! To get a penalty you have to cause problems in the penalty area. Erm, that's why we havnt had one all season (I think).

They need to beat us to be within one win of promotion. I fear the worst. If they win and the other results go for them they are promoted all bar the shouting I think. They will undoubtedly be gunning for the win. I too fear the worst, just hope they hold back once they are 2 goals up as we will never pull that back against a top side I'm sure. Increasing our minus goal difference won't be of too much concern - it's already the worst in the Division bar Carlisle.

Enjoyed Shipleys casual throwing of the lower league lampard under the bus in his comments.
Top player. Top quotes.

Ok but have we not had several not given - Dunkley virtually assaulted in the box (twice- jersey over head day) and Udoh floored in the last home game? But yes accept the point...

Will storm Kathleen have a say in this fixture? Might spoil the spectacle, but it's a point or three that matters.

If they start playing out from the back again, I’ll turn it off. If anyone can explain to me the tactical reason why lower league teams do this with less skilful players let me know! It’s the equivalent of a short corner - makes me mad!

Since neither Bloxham or Sobowale seem to want to claim that right side of midfield position their own, do we think AOB & Shipley might both play? Perhaps Shipley on the right & AOB on the left or vice versa?

Can't see many people being there as the OSC cancelled their coach for tommorw Away Travel Club have 2 full coaches, not sure what has happened to the OSC travellers. I could have gone on a minibus, but seem to have gained some sense, and not going. We’ll probably win now 😂

Perhaps Shipley on the right & AOB on the left or vice versa? AOB ex Pompey player too. Could certainly see it. Expect Hinchy to return in midfield, probably for Perry

However, it's the games a few days after a reasonable performance that we fail in, so every confidence in the team, with many of them seeking a new job next season and having experience of playing at a higher level.

Best we can hope for is to 'win' a 0-0 draw, which, to be fair, would be acceptable.
