Nearly 8 out of 10 voters didn't bother going to the polling station. Some of this is down to the utter contempt all the candidates show to the electorate. There was no information about any of them where I live and I only had info about the Lib Dems via email as the only ones who bothered to notify me despite me being on the mailing list for 2 other parties as well. I seriously thought about actively spoiling my ballot paper over this and the superfluous layer of bureaucracy known as the PCC.

As for the other candidates, not a dicky bird from any of them.

Our PCC is a combined role with our Mayor who has just been returned.

Another term of sad decline for London… our once former great capital city no longer recognisable. Will do my best to avoid as much as possible

I note that as well as Labour being successful in the capital in the West Midlands Andy Street has lost his position of Mayor of the combined authorities to the Labour Party candidate albeit by an extremely low margin . Not good news for Sunak . The Tory Party were hoping Street together with Lord Houchen would provide some good news after such poor results in the local elections. It wasn’t to be after all . How this leaves Sunak is anybodies guess now and whilst he looked pretty safe at one time questions are now being asked is he the man for the job after all . We shall see but I cannot see the parliamentary party jettisoning him at this stage in the run up to a general election .

Sunak is perfect safe in post. The Tory ship is heading for the rock,no one else will step up to be captain and be the person that lost the election
