We are near enough safe now from relegation just 3 or 4 more points will do. Fleetwood vale and carlise have basically given up and losing every week it's only Cheltenham showing any fight but cant see them getting more than 47 points. The last 5 performances have been really poor. We are on 44 points and with 7 games left I think we will be doing damn well to the magic 50. Away games Bolton 3rd Bristol Rovers 13th Portsmouth 1st Charlton 16th
Home games Orient 10th Wycombe 12th Oxford 6th

The current Form table for the last 6 matches see us in 12th position above Bolton, Oxford and Bristol Rovers. Right but the run is much harder than the last three games. That said I doubt 50 is needed this time round, Can we celebrate a bit? Six points from three games in eight days is most unlike us, and us from one above drop zone to having three between us and drop zone (none of whom have enough games in hand to be above us) and nine points between us and relegation. That means Chelenham have to win three games or fleetwood four to catch us, even if we get no more points, looking at form and run in that is not happening anytime soon. Be nice to get to 50 mind

I couldn’t go yesterday nor watch or listen and by the sounds of it, I didn’t miss much but I’m very glad we won. Huge win for us & good to see Flanagan starting again, although I do rate Sraha, I think we needed experience yesterday. Like some I feel like the pressure is off a little but keen to make it mathematically impossible for us to survive as quickly as possible!

If we take the season as an average we are currently on 1.12 points per game. So 7x1.12 could work out to just under 8 points. The run in i think is comparable to most below us but if we were being conservative let’s go with 6 points and hey presto and abracadabra 50 points 🪄

Cheltenham are still to play Fleetwood, Carlisle and Burton. I think they'll escape.
That said, their last 3 games are against Lincoln, Peterborough and Stevenage.

Said it many times.....we need to target the Bristol away game,to get the 3 points...put everything into that one, we've got nothing to lose really...the other away games I can't see us getting anything tbh

I fully expect to thrash Pompeii and Bolton by at least 4 goals each.
Can some Juan pass me the whiskey bottle? I haven't finished drinking it yet.

Quite a few of the bottom 6 have no play each other yet. This means that in those games one or both will gain points but also, one or both will drop points. Draws in those games would suit us as two of our rivals miss out on a vital win.

Carlisle missed a penalty at Bolton but still won 3-1. Our opponents who are playing for something at either top or bottom will be feeling the pressure just as much as us. Brizzle, Wycombe, Charlton and Orient may already be on the beach.

I thought the ref was poor. Very inconsistent with his decisions and very whistle happy. Thought he was significantly better than some of the dreadful ones we’ve had recently. That said, the west stand lino seemed keen to give Tuesday’s chump a run for his incompetent money. Missed a glaring offside late in the first half that Marosi thankfully rescued and gave a goal kick instead of a very obvious corner to us. As if the football wasn’t bad enough! Ufortently we had two back dire linos , he was right in line with a blatant offside , just relieved Marosi saved it.

Not sure we're we are going to get the six points from and it is a still a long way from been safe. Five of the teams below us have games in hand. I'm hoping O Brian and Pryce can start as both had an impact, both were vocal and both were trying to organise the players around them, somthing that has been lacking this season in the midfield and forward line.
After 65 minutes Bloxham , Perry and O Brian looked shattered.

"Asked how good it feels to get his first home win Hurst said: “Really good".
One would have done - Relieved.

Wont need 50 this season, 48 will be enough I've no doubt (even with our GD). We are not safe yet but after yesterday's win I'm confident we will survive.

I thought it was an entertaining game, if a bit low on quality. Carlisle didn't look like a team accepting relegation and frankly I've seen more abject performances from some other visiting sides.
I think Carlisle should be relegated however, not because of their results this season, but because of their appalling away strip.

The shirts were more memorable than the games itself but I take two or three memorable performances from the game;
1. I thought O'Brien did really well in taking over from Shipley. A very different player but he showed all his experience in linking up play, quick passing and generally organising those around him. We looked a better attacking unit with him there and he'll be an asset in the remaining games.
2. Jack Price. Dream debut, albeit against a poor side but showed all his experience, passing ability and a born leader. He will be a big influence in the next seven games and showed what we have been missing since Jon Nolan in 2017/18.
3. Enjoyed Feeny getting stuck in against his former team and getting roundly booed by their fans. Great effort by him.

Feeney did well given that the Carlisle fans were booing him from the kick off.
