Good luck Oliver Bearman"Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz has been diagnosed with appendicitis and will miss the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The Spaniard, 29, will be replaced for the rest of the weekend in Jeddah by the team's 18-year-old reserve driver Oliver Bearman, who will become the youngest Briton to race in Formula 1."

Haven't been able to get in to it at all since the Hamilton/Verstappen season. Verstappen's dominance is incredibly boring to me, the least Perez could do is get up and challenge him every now and then but he's miles off it.

The way Hamilton was robbed in that last lap fiasco a while back has put me right off.
A poster of the past, was it Steve Rogerson or something, used to push the F1, in those days there was some excitement in it.

Oliver Bearman qualifies 11th, just pipped to a top 10 shoot out by Lewis Hamilton.

Last I read, he's still very sore and those in the paddock say it looks more like they'll decide after FP1 for sure, but Prema haven't brought a substitute so looks like Bearman isn't planned to race in F1.

Makes STFC seem like a dream:
Lewis Hamilton says there is "no transparency and no accountability" in Formula 1 as the sport continues to be rocked by off-track wrangles.
The seven-time champion appeared to conflate controversies involving governing body the FIA and the behaviour of Red Bull team principal Christian Horner.
Speaking before this weekend's Australian Grand Prix, Hamilton said: "With the FIA, things happening behind closed doors, there is no accountability and the fans need that."
He added: "How can you trust the sport and what is happening here if you don't have that?"

I think it's just as much about the allegations about Bin Sulayem throwing his weight around in Vegas, and the comments made about the Wolff "corruption" with regards to F1 Academy. Sure, the Horner stuff is there but it's not really an FIA thing other than the team contracts to sort such issues out.

Am always happy to believe victims. I'm just not sure *who* the victim here, is. It was an independent KC who investigated. Shouldn't we trust them? Plus, the "released texts" seemed like they were written by a teenager - saw them debunked immediately yet that died down too. I guess this will always be "he said, she said" with the truth somewhere in the middle which we'll probably never know for sure. I guess Red Bull needs to ride it out. Oh, and "a friend" stories are always untrustworthy immediately. But "friends" have commented for both of them.
