Let's hope we don't break that record in two years time đŸ™ˆ 3 years at least sometimes I do wish some of our fans would take a dose of reality when they are moaning at a late substitution or losing away to a play off chasing side there are currently 7 sides in the national league north that have been in towns division this century and 2 in the south and 12 in the national league and we also have the likes of Bury & Macclesfield even lower many of those clubs are not a lot different to ours a few of those clubs fans are grateful to still be able to watch football

Yeah, didn't Banim score against Dover? No he scored AT Dover, but it was against Margate who were ground sharing there as they were having ground work done at their own ground. Awful game, deserved to get beat, Banim scoted from almost the halfway line, we finally won 2-0.

Best supported team in their league too, with an average of 4,010. Hereford next best with 2,519.

We played Sc***horpe away on the Friday we went into administration and their fans went way over the top in absolutely destroying us. A load of Brighton fans traveled up to the game to show solidarity, after also falling victim to corrupt owners. Fans from far and wide understood our situation and sent support. Sc***horpe fans rubbed our noses in it. Don’t wish them misfortune, but hope it’s many years before they return to the FL.
Bet they and many others would give their right arm for a bit of American hype, though to describe it as that is misunderstanding the whole situation quite spectacularly.

My overwhelming memories of the Sc***horpe fans was when we won the 4th level title up there 30 years ago. Police and stewards were in front of the celebrating Town fans, obviously making sure we didnt get over the fencing and the Scunny fans, hundreds of them came onto the pitch close to the penalty area and celebrated our win together. Wonderful memories of two sets of fans celebrating together. Mind you I think they might have remembered Cardiff celebrating winning the same league 12 months earlier, where the south Wales bunch trashed the ground and caused mayhem.

Should always speak as you find.
Not sure what you mean by the reference to that ‘south Wales bunch’. Sc***horpe fans celebrated Wrexham going into administration because Cardiff trashed their ground? That’s like us enjoying the sad demise of Rochdale because Millwall rampaged through Wrexham years ago.

I made no reference to Sc***horpe celebrating Wrexham going into admin, you did and it ms how you remember them. My post was about how great they were when we won the title at their ground. And that they were probably relieved to know that we werent going to be like Cardiff who had won the title 12 months before at their ground. And I put the 'south Wales bunch' to try and avoid making any reference to Wrexham. Let me know if youd like me to make it any plainer than I have done - twice.

Scunny not going to go up automatically this season, as 12 points behind Tamworth, so will have to endure the playoffs.

A lot of clubs see a resurgence in crowds when they drop into non league and/or start with a phoenix club. Clubs like Macclesfield, Bury, Chester, Scunny are getting far bigger crowds than they did in the football league. It's a combination of fans rallying around them when they are at their lowest , being a big fish in a small league and simply having some optimism after years in decline.
However, the challenge is keeping that momentum going and going up the leagues. If you get stuck in a league then the club becomes stagnant and fans drop away

Yeovil another one too, leading the way in the national league south with 3,653. Bury FC drew a crowd of 3,219 for their recent home game.

This thread was going fine until you had to have your usual dig at Wrexham. I deliberately made sure there was no dig at Wrexham, by pointing out about the "south" Wales lot to avoid you thinking I was having a go. You really need to ditch that huge chip you've got, it really must be weighing your shoulders down by now. I really do give up trying to have sensible conversation with you these days.

I find Sc***horpe's collapse difficult. In the 50s and 60s when I first became interested in football they were mostly in the old division 2 and produced loads of fine players (Kevin Keegan anybody). I realise that they had a series of poor owners... but it should not have come to this. They were admitted to the league at the same time as us, so I always took a bit of an interest.

Admitted to the League same time as us. Our first game in the league was against each other. Our last game when we dropped out was against them. In our season out we played them in FA Cup 1st Rd.
