This thread could go one of two ways judging by the responses on Facebook.😂 Yeah I think I may have upset a few of the less supportive posters on there, especially the one muppet that said it was sick and against all our religious beliefs. as much as I agree with you im wondering if you should have respected his opinion and said nothing, ( presume it was a he anyway ). clearly he should keep his mouth shut and respect others in the first place, but I get annoyed when these and similar events are just an opportunity for certain individuals to shout out against it, and others to shout out at them, or even worse pre emp someone speaking out , even happened on this thread, nearly always does , bit like when a heckler shouts during a minutes silence, and immediately others shout at them, neither are great looks, with regards to the heckler ive always said just point at them for the rest of the minute, not sure what the forum equivalent is

I don't have a massive issue with the rainbow ball but can I make one point. Is there ever a game where its not for some cause or other? Wasn't it her game too last time and also prostate cancer the time before and again I've no big issues with it but when will it be just a standard game. As far as I'm concerned, they're all just a standard game. Shrewsbury Town are essentially being used as a vehicle to promote thier brand...that's all there is to it, we still got to the game the same way, we still went to pub/fanzone/McDs etc before the game, still enjoyed/hated the match, nothing changed except it was designated as a fixture for xyz The military one where the helicopter delivers the ball is often the most exciting part of the whole match...
It's an opportunity to show we are inclusive in this case, after all we have surely all known someone who is LGBT. The medical ones promote the uptake of screening, which is wonderful.
