Moore has an awful lot to answer for with regards to his recruitment.

Just not at the races.

Port Vale and Fleetwood drew. Cheltenham lost. Cambridge lost. Reading deducted points. Burton lost, albeit to Carlisle. The only bad result was Charlton winning at Derby. Oh and Wrexham equalising with a penalty in the 93rd minute!! Point taken, but that said, I'd like to see FGR out of the League. I note that their fellow strugglers Sutton won tonight.

After the ball rebounded off the post did it brush off of Burgoyne?

Disappointing but given how much strain the squads under not surprising, a result like that was going to come at some point.
If the unthinkable happens and we go down the recruitment will be the reason.

After the ball rebounded off the post did it brush off of Burgoyne? it must have done, surely the ref wouldn't have messed that up, it happened all so quick, not that it mattered, the game was all over after 5 minutes

Vale absolutely blowing it at the end of their game. Cheltenham losing too, so we're still 6 and 5 points off them. Just a poor performance against an in form Lincoln team. Not much changes, 4 wins needed. Results went for us tonight (apart from Charlton). Both the teams with games in hand have to win both of them to go above us, would be remarkable if they did that given their current form. One game closer to the end of the season and still need the 4 more wins.

After the ball rebounded off the post did it brush off of Burgoyne? I don't think so but then nobody appealed for it but its one of those rules that rarely came into play so the players might not be aware of it.

Lincoln are playing well and are on a good run so it was a tough ask tonight. Dust ourselves down and let’s go again for the Blackpool game.

But if both, but ultimately the blame lies with SC for absolutely destroying the budget. I still however think we wasted this window.

The sad reality is we only have 11 or so half decent players, you miss a few of them and you can expect a good hiding.
Poor recruitment and woeful fitness levels mean every Tuesday game has been a train wreck, as we don’t have the squad to allow the necessary rotation.

Comfortably beaten would be understating it. Town were shocking from the start.
Ironically, the second half looked a look more promising with the subs making an immediate difference but as soon as one of them, Hinchy, gave the ball away and was fully punished for it we moved through the gears - from poor to inept.
Some of the things we did on the ball at the back were hard to believe & our lack of energy/determination to right the wrong was startling.
Hurst seemed angry. Good.
All I’ll say is, that was the first poor performance since he was back and thankfully he’ll have learnt a lot about which players should stay beyond May.

Surprised sticking with a back 4 when neither LB or RB available in the squad.

We played ok for about 20 mins out of the 90. Abysmal for the other 70.
Could have quite easily lost that 7-0.
Bloxham and Sobowale the only players to have any credit.
Thoroughly sobering evening.

4 key players missing today, hopefully have Udoh, Benning and Marosi back for Saturday. Hursts remit is to keep us up this season, he's probably told the boys to chill out a bit tonight and focus on our home games. Can't blame him

Just got home from game.
I have to say that I witnessed one of the worst Town defensive displays in many years.
Lincoln came at us with power and pace and I feared a cricket score.
However we managed to get a foothold in the game towards the end of the first half. Started brightly in second half, but as soon as the second went in it was game over.
Lincoln targeted towns defence down the left side and walked into our box time and time again. We got off lightly at 3-0, but to be fair Lincoln were a very good side on a great run of form.
The only positive was being heartened by Mr Hurst post match interview- he told it as it was and I have no doubt there has been the mother of all bollockings in the Salop dressing room after the game.
PS. Can the five idiots standing on the back row tonight please support some one else other than Salop. You were a disgrace as supporters. Constant foul and abusive language towards the players when any mistake was made- your mums would be so proud of you….

Just got back to Suffolk, what an absolute bag of crap of a game that was. Credit to Lincoln though, our bang average players couldn't cope with their brilliant press. I'm putting that down to a bad day at the office, a decent opposition, tired legs, and some key absences, I'm pretty sure we're way way way better than that but we need to prove that, soon. Still, three points from Reading and Lincoln is a return I'd have taken last week.

Second best by a country mile tonight from start to finish. I know they have had their ups and downs as we have but what are Lincoln doing that we're not. They have battered us tonight, they're well positioned in the league and average near on over 2000 more each home game (although I appreciate they were down on that tonight). Feel for the supporters who made the trip to watch that tonight, they deserve better. They only finished one place above us last season. Which apparently broke the bank here, led to the removal of the manager who led us to the one place below Lincoln to be replaced with Cheltenham's world renowned, hugely successful recruitment infrastructure and a coach with absolutely no experience or success at this level leaving us 18th and very much looking over our shoulder (again). Lincoln on the other hand sit handily in 10th having tore us a new one last night. Fair point about the population comparison though for sure. However, when I think of Lincoln over the years I tend to think their attendances have pretty much been on a par with our own (when looking from the 90's onwards, say). Its only recently that they have seen crowds reach an average of 8,000 or 9,000. As in since they were promoted from the Conference. Just think its one to keep an eye anyhow, see how it pans out for them. Its just they went down, as did we. Since then however, they have come back up, got themselves promoted to the 3rd, looked more than decent last night and seem to have galvanize the local support and have managed to keep ahold of them. They look better placed than us 6 seasons in after getting back into the League than we do after near on 20. I just wonder if there might be something we can learn from them.

If SC destroyed the budget it appears we could have saved a chunk of money by not employing MM who then appointed MT and Mr Bignot and some poor players

What a great honest interview from Hurst. I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall in the dressing room. Sounds like a few would have got the hair dryer treatment that Rodman referred to on Saturday.
Probably the first time this season some players have had a few honest truths

Defensively they did look all over the place but the back 5 was entirely different to that of the match on Saturday.
Burgoyne came in, Bennett came in, Feeney moved from RB to RCB, Dunkley moved from RCB to LCB, Sraha came in to LB (and even though he did play for an hour against reading, again it was in a different position, as LCB).
Add in the closest player to them for most of the time under Hurst (Hinchy), also didn't start.
That is very hard to plan for and come into the game knowing what your role is and with confidence others do know too.

Jesus H Christ. How bad was that. 10-0 would not have flattered them.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but to change everyone's positioning in the back 4 seemed like a bizarre decision, especially when having to play a different keeper. Could have just started Bennett at left back and be done with it.
I guess one positive is that he will never line-up like that again, and now he knows who can and can't play. Even Dunkley as the left-sided center back looked appalling.
