Maybe I could help Why don't Truro play at Torquay ? Everyone's a winner 🥳 They did for a time, I think. Then a ground in Plymouth (not Argyle) but there were problems so finishing this season at Gloucester. New ground in Truro should be ready next season They played at Plymouth Parkway, but that ground had drainage problems I believe, so they were forced to look elsewhere, then I think shared with Taunton who also had many postponements, which is why they have ended up at Gloucester. Twice they’ve had to play Sat at 7.30 pm after Gloucester have played at 3pm!

Yes, I’d forgotten about possibly using Taunton, who were also forced to play at Gloucester last week, because their ground was waterlogged again.

Didn't actually play a game at Taunton

Torquay United are now winning 2-0 at Truro City. Truro is a city? That's surely on a par with Wrexham being one, meaningless.
Amazing how far Torquay have sunk isn't it?

Also the old Gloucester ground used to flood even more often than Gay Meadow.

Just hope they can survive this season without being relegated. Think they just might be about to turn the corner and a further relegation would be a big blow. To think they were my hope to get back into the FL as they were in the NL play offs only 3 or 4 years ago.

Just checked and Truro has been a city since 1877! It’s the only city Cornwall has I think and it has a cathedral. Not a bit like Wrexham thank goodness.

They could get the last relegation place in NLS, disastrous for a club expected to challenge for promotion back to National League this season. They play Taunton this evening, the team which could overtake them, be a big game.

It's very sad when I hear of what were seen as "proper" clubs.
But then a small fanbase and out of date facilities put you in real danger against either bankrolled clubs or similarly sized clubs who are very well run.

Very pleased they stayed up. Sure they will sort out their financial woes and come back stronger. A bit like Yeovil. They have a good stadium, and potentially a decent fan base for that level. Good luck the Gulls!

Very pleased Truro City stayed up. It's hard enough being an outpost club, but when you lose the use of your own ground for so long, have to travel 200 miles to play home games and have to play 4 times a week to finish the season on time, all with a part time squad, then it's a hell of an achievement to keep picking up points as Truro have.
It's also a lovely little city in a beautiful part of the world. Hope they get their new stadium ready for next season and grow from there.

Wow, so all associated with Truro would likely be getting home sometime on Sunday, that's quite the journey. Think by the seasons end on Saturday Truro will have played 10 games since Easter Monday 1st April. Almost 1/4 of their total fixtures for the season in just 3 weeks. 8 have been at "home", including last week playing Monday, Wednesday and Thursday as well as the two Saturdays at either end. This week has been a 'quiet' week, just Tuesday and Thursday and the two Saturdays. The players must have very understanding employers. Taunton have had an 'easier' run in. They have only had to play 9 games since Easter Monday, mostly at home again.
