I remember winning our first match after promotion in August 1994. I’m sure Mark Taylor scored but I can’t remember who else.
The place fascinated me as we walked past all the scrap metal yards!

I remember a 1-0 win there in 1998 and a tasty chicken balti pie, it’s bugging me that I can’t remember our scorer.

Only one visit to Millmoor and I think it was the 78/79 promotion season when we won 2-1!!
Town supporters were told to remain in the open terrace after the game only to have the departing Rotherham faithfull hurl bricks, stones and other assorted projectiles over the surrounding wall from outside. I was OK but it did result in a number of Town fans getting hit and badly cut heads/faces etc!!

Never been to Millmoor but I do remember being in the Town (Shrewsbury) that day as a young child, it was a nice sunny day and with the news of the result there was a tremendous sense of optimism for the season ahead in and around the place as the sun set.

I only put the thread on because of the (imo) good article and photos of Millmoor. I guess the two you've linked are are others doing similar articles too.

I went to see Town one evening in 1973 or 74, I think it was a draw. I was living in Leeds at the time, so quite doable. It was the only time I was ever chatted up at a football ground. An experience that stays with you.

I remember 2 visits, and we won both times.
Up until the play off final I had not seen Town lose to them home or away.

But the 2 Wembleys should swing it. Guess we have played Bristol Rovers at 6 grounds.
