I'm glad he's been able to do this and not ended his illustrious career with a sacking by Palace. He deserved better than that.
He's always seemed a thoroughly decent and intelligent man and his managerial achievements speak for themselves.
Best wishes for a full recovery, and a healthy and happy retirement.

He's done well for Palace. I think most teams would have him as manager in a heartbeat. He's a bit of a legend

I don’t know how he could cope with the stress of managing a Premier League club, I’m the same age and Bargain Hunt stresses me out.
I hope he writes his memoirs, sure to be interesting. Meanwhile, happy retirement.

No-one else think it doesn't sound good? They've replaced him pretty quickly.

Let’s be honest he was getting pushed out regardless so they ah e massaged the message
Also being honest, he is well past his sell by date, plays football from a bygone era, don’t really know why he’s put himself through the stress at his age and condition either

cant say I know anything about him apart from what I've heard from him during interviews, always seems polite at those.
just looked it up and he started managing in 1976 !
maybe he's preparing to take over from Klopp with Souness as his assistant ;-)

If Biden wants another 4 years, this is early retirement for Roy.

Not your average British (or foreign) manager - he's managed across Europe's lesser leagues (Switzerland), Sweden and Finland nationally and speaks several languages including the former two (hope my memory is serving me correctly).
I bet he's got some unorthodox stories that your Joses, SAFs and Arsenes wouldn't have.
