I've an old copy of David Lemmon's "Great one day cricket matches".
It mentions a match that I was lucky enough to watch on the TV at the time, 22nd June 1977, Hampshire vs Gloucestershire, Bensons & Hedges Cup, semi final.
What a game, famous for one great bowling display from Michael John Proctor.
Four wickets in five balls, including a hat trick; he finished with 6 for 13 off 11 overs.
A remarkable game and a remarkable cricketer.

Gordon Greenidge and Barry Richards, what an opening partnership in county cricket.

I was at the one-day cricket final at Lords with a mate from Bristol when Gloucester beat Kent with Proctor to the fore with his bowling - a great all-rounder and captain.

Gordon Greenidge and Barry Richards, what an opening partnership in county cricket. Probably the best two openers in the world at the time. I followed Hampshire from afar due to those two. Add Andy Roberts opening the bowling and they had a formidable side.
