Dear goodness, that's a shock.
One of the very best of my generation for sure.
He will be sadly missed xxx

One of the new generation of Radio One DJs when I was a teenager.
Me and the missus always listen to Sunday Love Songs in the car on the way to the mother in law's. It certainly won't be the same without him

A voice that became part of the fabric of life in Britain.
Thank you, Steve.

Great to hear so many heartfelt tributes across the airwaves today.
I loved the clips on TV today of Steve, especially when he was on the Radio 1 roadshow, went to a few of those in my time.

Was listening when Sara Cox announced it just after the news yesterday.
Not too big to admit that hearing Bobbie Pryor break down during the traffic report brought several tears to my eye on the drive home from work.
Listened to R2 on and off through the years and working different jobs but it became a godsend during lockdown.
RIP Wrighty. A true radio legend.

I loved listening to Steve Wright in the afternoons when I was a teenager - Mr Angry, Mr Spoons, etc - the 80s were the best.
