www.shrewsburytown.com/news/2024/february/february-freeze-on-202425-season-tickets/fantastic gesture from the club, I added the * as it does mean you have to take this up by the end of February apart from that prices will be going up roughly £1 a game , or £2 if you pay on the day I'll probably still have to take it game by game as my hours at work could change any week, otherwise I would be taking up this early-early bird offer asap

Not (m)any responses - must be good news.
Ticket price rises once again below Retail Price Index inflation, Consumer Price Index inflation and Football Price inflation.
The alarmists left with yolk smeared all over their kneecaps and hernias.

The way I read it, the February Freeze is for renewals only.

But I feel it's a very well thought out idea, and fair on those who give the most

The way I read it, the February Freeze is for renewals only. That’s definitely not how I read it. For all adult fans purchasing on or before the 29th of February deadline: An adult season ticket starts from just £375 - with a total saving of £223 per season or £9.70 per game when paying on match days Over 65s are priced from £250 - with a total saving of £187 per season or £8.13 per game when paying on match days 19-23s season ticket will start at £225, less than £10 per game No where in the article can I see it stating for renewals only

"Following consultation with our Fan Engagement Panel, the club made it our goal to offer frozen 2023/24 prices for anyone who renews on or before February 29. "

Excellent news. Sadly won't be renewing anyhow due to life getting in the way of the 23 games. Fancards for two of us.

This time next year I'll be able take advantage of the over 65s offer.
When you are aged 60-65 you don't get many if any perks!

You don't get many perks 21-60 either 😂 £26 on the day is scary, but others charge it so we're not alone. I think the government/authorities need to restrict away prices ASAP, away crowds will eventually die with these prices and iFollow available. I think back to being 16-19 and not having too much spare money, you've got 2x choices now: 1) 4x away tickets and travel, likely £200+ all in with food/drink 2) iFollow, 4x £2.50 each and buy an absolute s**t load of beer and food at home, sub £100 all in. The experiences aren't totally comparable, but when your finances are squeezed the second option can become more and more appealing.

My only issue is the price increase on the day. Just have one price, penalising fans who decide to goto the game late will just put them off even if it is only a quid.

I didn’t receive an email about this. Bit weird since I’m a season ticket holder!

If we want government intervention, given all the warm and fuzzy noises they make about how vital football is below prem, maybe they should just zero rate ticket sales, so they stop taking a 20% cut and put their money where their mouth is....

All I want to see is us get to a solid 7,000 home fans. I don't care how, I just want us to get there. Make the place a fortress.
Give the schools 500x tickets a week if we have to, they'll all buy fizzy drinks, food and programmes and might be fans for life!
