Do ref's listen to the home club talking about what they can do to improve things? With our form at the moment I bet they are deparate to get the game on.... I assume they do seek advice from the groundsman who will know where the ice patches are and when the sun might reach those parts of the pitch I’d guess if it was still -1 and not getting warmer it would be off by now, but with temperatures heading upwards today they want to give it every chance to be on, and certainly you would imagine Peterborough fancy their chances of a win, rather than face a rejuvenated Paul Hurst side in a few weeks time Who might they be playing in a few weeks time with Paul Hurst as manager? Won't be us, MT will have drafted in wonderful new signings and got the best out of our existing wonderful players, we'll be riding high on the sunlit uplands!!!

I would say it wasn't playable at 11am but didn't want to call it off unless it turns out 3pm the pitch is fine , which was maybe very possible ?, that's more annoying to fans than anything

Now it's up to the team to punish them for messing us about!

Now it's up to the team to punish them for messing us about! It's a nice sentiment, but I fear the punishment will be ours.

Would have preferred game to be off, with Marosi unavailable, but pleased for those who’ve travelled.
Reckon best we can hope for is a 2-0 defeat.

They're giving the game the best possible chance of being on by delaying the final call for as long as possible, sounds inherently sensible to me. Everyone would be fuming if it was called off now and it emerged by 2 that the pitch was playable. Presumably it'll now be ignored that the Peterborough ground staff and officiating team have played a blinder in getting the game on, despite the likes of Salop123 getting 2 likes for saying "what a disaster!!!!" at 11:30.

My post also forgotten it seems about them trying hard to get the game on
