Need it on, either to get back some pride in the team or to not delay the inevitable

If we are strengthening the squad soon I wonder if MT might secretly want a postponement - the next game at Northampton looks more winnable. Fortunately for me I am only fifty minutes drive away but these fairly late inspections present a real problem for fans travelling a fair distance.

If it’s off it will give the club with games in hand a chance to even things up and give us a clearer idea of where we actually are in league position.

At this moment in time.....it would be in Peterboroughs best interests to get game on.....and I think it will be

Already booked my trains to Peterborough, keeping everything crossed for a postponement so that I can have an enjoyable day touring the boozers instead of having to watch us get tonked.
Come on ref, do the right thing.

Split on this. I think MT is on his last legs so this getting called off could delay the inevitable until after the window shuts. On he other hand if it gets called off we are more likely to get reinforcements for the rearranged fixture.

What time do the coaches leave Town?
I wonder how many Town fans have already set off?

Quite a few I would think. Not sure which would be worse leaving at it’s off or not leaving and it’s on!

Well above freezing here in East Anglia, I think there's a decent chance it'll be on.

Genuine question but how long do these things usually take? Thankfully I don't have to leave home for another hour.

No thought for travelling fans at all. Just call it off now if there is any uncertainty.

They're giving the game the best possible chance of being on by delaying the final call for as long as possible, sounds inherently sensible to me.
Everyone would be fuming if it was called off now and it emerged by 2 that the pitch was playable.

According to the weather app it's +5 degrees in Peterborough and hasn't rained in more than 24 hours - what could be wrong with the pitch

Everyone would be fuming if it was called off now and it emerged by 2 that the pitch was playable. But who would know? Don’t think anyone would decide to “ inspect “ the pitch at a later hour . What would be the point . The only one even remotely likely to re inspect would be the referee and he would be long gone. No, inspect the pitch, make a decision now and save those travelling unnecessarily. They’ve already spent money on transport . Save them having to wander around Peterborough waiting for a late decision when they could be home in the warm safe and well . My thoughts , feel free to disagree 👍

If there is this much doubt it should have been called off yesterday.

Looking at my weather app there maybe a bit of sun coming through in Peterborough between 1 and 3 pm so guess the officials are giving the pitch as much time as possible to be playable. But can fully understand frustrations at such a late decision though

With our form at the moment I bet they are deparate to get the game on....sod the fans!

With our form at the moment I bet they are deparate to get the game on.... I assume they do seek advice from the groundsman who will know where the ice patches are and when the sun might reach those parts of the pitch I’d guess if it was still -1 and not getting warmer it would be off by now, but with temperatures heading upwards today they want to give it every chance to be on, and certainly you would imagine Peterborough fancy their chances of a win, rather than face a rejuvenated Paul Hurst side in a few weeks time
