if you want evidence of what a bad league it is this season it's the fact they're second. I’m not sure about that. We acquitted ourselves well compared to the usual and they still created enough to score 5 on a dodgy pitch and without one of their best players who was out injured. They score an absolute tonne and I can see why, if they could’ve had 5 when way off their best. A lot of the league is s**t though I’d agree.

While I sympathise Peterborough away isn’t a game you’d back us to do well in its utterly depressing that as a fan base we essentially write off any games against the top half. I’ve left the ground after the Pompey and Stevenage games and heard the same thing, we aren’t in the position to be writing off games no matter who they’re against, it was only Peterborough not prime Barcelona. I remember the club apologists walking out of the ground after the Portsmouth game saying exactly the same thing. Our standards have dropped so far, that being beaten 3-0 at home is par for the course now. By that logic, failure to beat Burton or Cheltenham is exactly that - a failure. Please explain what you mean by ‘club apologist's’ ?

Does that matter?….it was a decision taken for the reasons above. I’m a season ticket holder. If I wasn’t I would not be attending anywhere near the amount of home games the 23 ST does and given that I would let others down if I didn’t. I feel compelled by that and that alone. If it based on our team and the anti-football I see week in week out I wouldn’t set foot in the stadium whilst we have Taylor and Mickey Mouse in charge. That said Pilch, you wouldn’t understand because you are so set against everyone’s criticism of the club and feel you have to question it. Can’t say I have ever questioned your sanity in being so positive but then to be honest I don’t care either way. I think you gave me your answer , you had pre arranged plans and was never going to the game anyway 😝 Incorrect. I had a snooze actually. Got in late from night before so went back to bed knowing we kicked off at 3. Chose forty winks over Salop.

Regarding Marosi’s absence, seem to remember him being hit in the face in our last game and Harry being ‘warmed up’ at half time by Brian Jensen although Marosi was back for 2nd half.
Whats a decent keeper with 6 month on his contract worth?

It might be a bit negative, but what does it say about our current squad if a 19 year old, who’s had an average season at Morecambe in League Two, is coming back to us and looking like one of our best players?

We lost as expected, not as heavily as expected, was busy yesterday so can’t comment any further than that, other than to say we’re now 19th, watch the slide continue, I’ve called it for months, we’re in a massive relegation scrap here, we’re certainly not a mid table side as has been claimed on here previously

I really worry about the club at the moment and the state its in. Listening to Taylors post match comments, just highlight the mess. Rowland is in good shape for a man of his age, but I'm afraid four more years of this and we'll be back in the Conference. The key to our deep routed problems is the sudden return of Bloxham and he starts! Nothing against the lad (who played ok yesterday) but what does it say about our transfer policy? There f*****g isn't one. I can see the keeper going as well as Bayliss and to be honest I wouldn't blame them.

I think we got there in the end, you were in no fit state to watch the game, would have been a bad decision to pay £10 and then fall asleep, I actually did that once last season , call me P.I. Lch ;-)

My two pennies worth... Burgoyne did well. Couldnt do anything about the two goals. We didnt have a reserve keeper on the bench even though the young lad was there (Xander Parke is it??) Dunkley was the usual collosus at the back. Feeney and Sraha did well. Benning had an unusually quiet game. Winchester won loads of tackles, he got very frustrated about something in 2nd half and got subbed. Kenneh was a bit below par today. Perry seemed really up for it and covered loads of ground. Shipley was a constant threat, great goal too. Mata was okay. The subs didn't affect the game much. Special mention for Bloxham who was really good! Holding up the ball, tackling, winning balls he shouldn't be, running around, winning headers. It was a great performance. He is undroppable now IMO. Dunkley or Shipley for MOTM Most of that I agree with - Winchester looked like he got hit in the mouth in the far right corner and gestured an elbow when he was talking to the bench, thenagain my eyesight is not the best, he might have been asking for a bovril it was that nippy.

It tells us what has been obvious for months - that, apart from Udoh, we do not have a single striker in the club who is near to League 1 standard. Bloxham may not be the greatest finisher or the most skilful forward but his energy, aggression and determination to create problems for defenders yesterday was a joy to behold.
