it could be the first time in a while we have selection problems of a good kind, clearly winchester still not match fit, it would be great if he can make this
confident of us winning this one

Sadly I can't share the confidence, I expect big Stevie Evans will have far too much experience and nous for us
They will also want to bounce back from a bad FA Cup defeat
I'll go 0-2 to Stevenage

The result of this game is of much more importance than yesterday's game for me (financials aside).
Stevenage have faltered a little since earlier in the season, though they are obviously still decent. Need a good result here please Town.

On paper there’s options, but given the way that the substitutes stank the place out yesterday I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see us go unchanged again, or very close to.
A very tough game, Stevenage should not be taken lightly just because it’s a surprise to see them so high, and their away record has been very good.
Really we need to find a win from somewhere as I can see one point at best from the following two away games, but can see more disappointment. 1-0 defeat.

There will be a very promising new young striker up front and this will give both the team and the supporters a much needed boost. Stevenage also unexpectedly knocked out of the FA Cup so they also need to get back on track. Always entertaining when Steve Evans comes to town.

confident of us winning this one Genuinely astonished, and convinced I must be seeing things, but town are 16/5 to win.

We have a reasonable home record, to be fair, though having been to the stevenage game and watched them restrict/dominate our creative midfield of Bayliss/Perry, this one makes me nervous. Would love some more players back to fitness

Am actually looking forward to the match on Saturday. Hope we can get a good result. Draw wouldn't be end of the world. If we can pick up 5 points in the next 3 matches it will be decent

Good time to play them. We'll be looking to bounce back after Sunday and they aren't in the best of form. We owe them one after a dreadful performance at Stevenage earlier in the season. Three points would be very welcome with two tricky away games to follow. But I sense a disappointing 1-1 draw.

If they play at a high tempo like they did against wxm for the first 25 mins, but all through the game satday....then we've got a chance...but desperate for a couple of new forwards to come inđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

We need to start on the front foot, if we let them get a hold of the ball they'll grow in confidence and you'd think inevitably score one or two.

Watched the highlights of the Wrexham game again and we had enough good chances to win 2 games. I’m going 1-0 town.

I like MT's positive approach as well. If Bowman can get on the end of some of the chances similar to what was created against Wrexham then the goals could come.

Bowman can get on the end of some of the chances similar to what was created against Wrexham then the goals could come. Yeah maybe, he finished his 3 gifts from Notts County with ease. Against Wrexham though we had the Dunkley open-net shot deflected wide, Sobowale sky it from 5 yrds out, Bennings worldy against the crossbar, Perry skimmed two great chances narrowly wide, and the new guy skimmed a chance wide too. I don't recall Bowers even getting a sniff. We should really have buried all them chances. It's going to hurt for sometime that we didn't even get one goal. So as MT says, we should be contributing goals from all over the pitch. Defo reasons to be optimistic I think. So much so I've got tickets for Stevenage and Peters' Bros. I have a glutton for punishment 🤣

So no Bloxham and I presume no new forward for tomorrow.
Oh well, I'm sure Micky Moore is trying his best, our own personal Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards.
C'mon Salop!

Not quite sure if facing a Steve Evan’s side is a good or bad thing for Saturday
In the one hand it give the fans a bit of a pantomime villian in the away dugout and getting one over his sides is always very satisfying
But with Stevenage no doubt employing their usual anti football tactics I wouldn’t like to see us go behind and have to chase the game with Stevenage players time wasting and trying to get our players sent off, could lead to a really annoying game

You seem to be describing us last season.

You seem to be describing us last season. Yes to be fair to Evan’s (not a phrase to use too often) they were good at the away game. Just think with Stevenage having lost to lower league in the Cup last week he will want a result against us and it’s probably likely to be more a back to basics game for them, than a free flowing goal festival Will probably end 5.5 now I’ve said that!

Tom B isn't available for this game but it will be interesting to see if he stays with us and works well with MT, I think he might.

I am hoping we continue on from the last two games with our press and try take the game to our opposition not one for predictions but 3-1 to us would enjoy seeing Max put 1 in the net.

I think it may also depend on whether the two young guys who have been around the club from Palace and Wolves are coming back to play. Particularly the Crystal Palace player who I think is 6ft4
