Just doesn't feel the loss that it once was that, nothing against the player himself with the service he's getting but we're talking about player who has 3 goals to his name this season. Part of me does wonder whether the injuries we see coming and going might see us inadvertently stumble on a selection and formation that'll click and see an improvement. Anyhow, up the Town... The entire starting XI only has 6 league goals between them! But I am glad Bowman and Mata aren't together. Let's hope Perry and Shipley can get quite high enough up the pitch to get to Matas knock downs That really does take some doing. Yep, lets hope something clicks tonight and gives us some hope for the weeks ahead.

I notice quite pleasingly Burton name numbers 1-7 on the pitch. Doesn't happen very often now, although makes me feel quite old saying it is

I was thinking exactly this too! Forced lineup = forced formation and tactical changes = potential change in fortune

My mind recalls (possibly incorrectly) Tim Sherwood in charge of Spurs...had a striker injury crisis....so had to play a young man by name of Harry Kane. Who quickly became undroppable and is now one of the worlds best.
So what I'm trying to say is....lets sign Harry Kane 🤣

Another set piece goal, Dunkley losing his man. Such a shame after such a positive start

Mata misses a great opportunity to level. Perry gave it him on a plate

Did hear that 17th place was on the phone to the club the other day and asking them to get back to where they belong

If we lose this, the experiment is on its last legs and it's on Rolands head.
Disclaimer - I want town to win.

FFS, please can SOMEONE put a foot on the ball?
Aimless hoofball isn’t going to get us back in the game…..

Meanwhile, Cheltenham have taken the lead, albeit against Reading.
Gap narrowed to 5 points, and they've 2 games in hand.

Now only Exeter on same number of goals as us.
Let’s remind ourselves that Cheltenham went 10 games without a goal and have more than us now…..that is just embarrassing!!!

Much much better from town, energetic and some decent chances created despite there not being a lot of quality it has been effective. We can feel hard done by to be behind as Marosi has not had a save to make other than the goal that he had no chance with.
Only grumble is Bennett who has repeatedly headed the ball into the air when he had time to bring it down and play.
Terrible pitch but with Salop playing towards the away end I think we can get something out of this.

Well scrappy scrappy game, we are keeping shape well defensively and getting tackles in which we don't do and it leads to goals, getting some decent balls around the box aswell
Sobowale is my player of the season ATM plays well tracks back good runs and strong coming from Ireland he's doing very well
The Burton goal good corner can't really blame anyone as some corners just work well
Downside for me is our corners always seem to do nothing but first man needs work the most

Not a great deal of football played by either team, its not got a lot of quality this. Town having more of the ball than we usually do and I would say from about the 20 minute mark we look the better of the two (but that's not saying much, for the most part its aimless stuff) but we're not creating much and when the odd chance does come about the finishing it absolutely dire (and then some). I think its two shots on target so far and both to the home team.
Same old, same old.

8 shots to Burtons 2 but none on target. A massive 48% possession.
