The so-called anti-town fans! The rest of the board would be deserted 🤣

Was just having a look at the form guide, Peterborough are 2nd over the last 6 games, having scored 16 goals (compared to our 13 over 22 games)

If we sit back and give them possession like we did against Pompey we’ll lose. Has M.T learnt anything from the last game, we shall see.

Do you think we'll change the habit of the entire season against a decent side, and actually have some possession? I can think of more appropriate teams to try it against, rather than a rampant Peterborough. They're scored more times in the last 6 games than we have in the last 16 weeks.

If Fergie is baffled by it then imagine how we feel about it!

If Fergie is baffled by it then imagine how we feel about it! the 3 sentence article includes this one Despite that paltry record, and a goal difference of -17, Shrewsbury are sitting comfortably in mid-table 11 points clear of the drop zone and 10 points off the play-off places.

As said above, don't think many will be expecting much from this game. Definitely take a draw
Any players back for this one? Lost track a bit with injuries.
If nobody more is back, I presume Taylor plays the same team if they stick with same formation. Mata the most likely i suppose to swap with Bowman. Feeney isn't a RWB, but highly doubt Sobowale would be risked against Peterboro

Might be wrong though, as Peterboroughs mains strength is their wide players, so Benning covering that area may make more sense

Interesting pre match interview with Taylor.
Asked if we would go to 4 4 2 but sounded like he wants to stick to 5 3 2 as that is what we recruited for. Really good as well to hear the progress being made by George Nurse.

Another tough fixture. I’m going for a 2-2 draw with Town gabbing a late equaliser much against the run of play

Ticket sales looking average at best - suppose I wouldn't pay £24 again if i'd paid that to go to the Pompy game last week...

If you are going to a match I would think fans might give this one a miss and spend there money on a cup tie against Wrexham .

Ticket sales looking average at best - suppose I wouldn't pay £24 again if i'd paid that to go to the Pompy game last week... Hard not to agree with you - I managed to convince three family members to come to the Pompey game for the first time this season and they all just left at the end going "What was the point?" £24 quid to watch one team play football. Appreciate that doesn't apply to most of us on this board as we'll go to games regardless of the quality of the football but to attract casual fans whatever that performance was on Saturday won't cut it.

The Saturday before Xmas is generally poor attendances all round the country as people have loads of other things to do. That's before you take into account the entertainment level at present.

Agree, you’d hardly be flocking to the ground tomorrow without a ST, luckily (or not depending how you view our football) I have one and all my Christmas shopping is done, so I’ll be lending my support to the cause 😉

Going and managed to convince two non Salop supporting friends to join …. The poor souls 😆
Hoping for an improvement on the Pompey score line. Take a point, expecting a loss. Think 7 points from the next four games would be a reasonable return.

As for Reading , it was the last time we had better possession stats than the opposition 54% , more shots ,as many shots on target , 11 corners to their 5 , we came from 2 down to win , doesn't get much more exciting as that anyway I got my ticket and I'll be there, so excited I can't sleeep 🤩
