He did a decent job at right back yesterday
But then Tinno and Walton did ok
When Moss comes back from suspension what is going to happen?

It would make sense, Whitehead and Walton could make a good defensive partnership, but you cant drop the captain can you

Aside from Mansfield, Tinno has been very good under GP.
You keep the side the same in my view and re-introduce players as necessary.
We have 3 of our most consistent performers (O'Connor, Lowe and Moss) this term to return to the side in time.
Yesterday was all about the team performance rather than individuals.

Whitehead will be dropped if Moss plays, but there is no gaurantee he will win his place back if we hit a run of decent form. I am sure GP will be very concerned with Mossy's disciplinary record which is truly shocking, STFC cannot afford to have a player missing a third of the season mainly because of suspension (he has missed 9 games so far this season).

I think Whitehead is playing too well to be dropped

Mossy could play right midfield, esp in a tough away game.
Or we could have 3-5-2, with Moss and Ashton as wing backs ?

I thought that the other day
I know we hate 3-5-2 when played under Mr Quinn but against Swansea we had a decent shape
I am thinking
Howie
Whitehead Tinno Walton
Moss Sedgemore Tolley OConnor Ashton
Langmead Lowe
That team has got pace, crosses, Tolley has two decent scrappers to win himt he ball, the centre backs have cover in front of them and we have pace and height up front

Don't think we would have Sedge and O'Connor in the middle, so maybe room for Sammy/Luke/Ryan to play behind 2 strikers (Langmead + ?) or keep Edwards in.

Edwards for Sedge then and that is looking pretty good
But when Sedge has played the holding role it releases Tolley because Sedge just sits there in fron of our centre backs and gets stuck in
OConnor and Sedge is not the most creative but whoever they played against would know they had been in a fight

I thought Whitehead had an excellent game, but then most of them played well.
Whitehead for me is the player of the year so far.
Thought Tinno also played well and seemed a little sharper and fitter than normal. Perhaps let him have the rest of the season then think its time to let go.
If edwards keeps up that form on the right Rob/Ryan will struggle to get back in.
Worst player..............................Has to be sedge. Although he didnt play badly, just didnt notice him in the game that much.

For me, Whitehead has been our best player this season to date. It would be scandalous if he was to be dropped, and I'm sure he won't be.
