Something ridiculous like 1% of rapes get punished, you can't help feeling sorry for victims.

Going through a case is hard enough without the thought in the back of your mind there's a 1 in 100 or so chance of success.

between the treatment from a minority of police forces , then facing a hostile defence interrogation plus the dismal stats you show all highlights why so many women dont go to court but are left traumatized. equally many who do go to court get retraumatized
