Rather subdued post match interview considering the scoreline. Obviously not happy about one or two things though. Not getting carried away, good attitude, good interview. Very happy with Grant, Langmead and Edwards.

Hes a very down to earth man, with his approach and attitude he's going to become Towns best manager since the days of Graham Turner.

Thought the interview was excellent. He hasn't come out with b******s when we have lost and isn't going over the top when we have won. He is being realistic as Duncan says first Town manager in ages to talk like this.

Martin, Did you go on Radio Shropshire last night talking about GP about 5.45pm? If so, well said. I was nodding my head in agreement with everything said as I drove home from work. If it was not you. Well said whoever you were

I think the point he makes about "stickability" when the ball gets pumped up to our strikers is interesting. It looks like he is suggesting we lack this quality when Luke is playing up there. Rodgers' game is based on speed and running on to through balls, not being a target man. If it isn't working for him, then it is easy for the opposition to get the ball back and attack us. Could this be the time for Luke to be put on the right wing?

Rodgers doesn't need to be a target man as such, but he does need to keep the ball
He has almost been trying too hard, and the ball has bounced off him in all directions
That was an excellent performance by our front two yesterday
As Peters said, for the first time in a long time our midfield got involved in attack because the ball had stayed up there long enough to get involved
Grant held the ball up very well, I really was impressed with him yesterday, while Langmead was brilliant

As I've written many times, the good manager finds the best team not the best XI individuals.
It may be that relatively poor individual players such as Grant and Sedgemore are able to bring more to a team dynamic than some of their more talented colleagues.

Admit at first it seemed a strange interview but to be fair this is just one result, the time to start celebrating is when we secure our league position for next year, then the plaudits can be given out. Maybe GP saw that Darlo were not the best. The team shouldnt get carried away with the result.
I thought his comments on Tolley, Moss and Edwards were very interesting, saying that he needed to do extra work with them in the afternoons to realise their potential. He stated that he looked at Tolley a couple of years ago but there hasnt been much improvement since (something i think we can all reconise) and he needs to work with him on talking him up to the next level.
Also had some good words about Dave Edwards but again needed to work with him to develop his potential, something that Quinney couldnt be arsed to do.
