I can't speak for NWM, but my opinion is that if anyone, in any job uses their position to take advantage of others sexually they should be sacked, not suspended. That's what happens in the real world. |

I think that nails it . Using your position to take advantage is precisely what the problem is and I would say in the world ofWestminster it is possible to find MP’s from all parties who have tried this tactic over the years .
Why do they do it ?
It is right that the MP involved should have the whip removed if found to have acted in this manner and that MP’s then approve a suspension . I’m not quite clear what follows. If suspended for the period of 8 weeks do all voters in the constituency have a say as to whether the MP continues to represent them or is it only members of his constituency party?

I am inclined to agree with you, but my issue is with NWM's postings, insofar as he seems incapable of speaking for himself....I wonder whether he has opinions of his own and he really should stop simply regurgitating the content of newspaper columns: surely this messageboard is for MEMBERS to express their views? I am tempted to PM him! |

I am tempted to PM him! If you consider that I merely regurgitate articles and have no opinions of my own, then I suggest you run through a number of my previous posts. For example, the threads on Robert Jenrick or Bury F.C, where I have spent many hours researching the subject matter and have put forward my observations. There are many other such examples. Over 28,000 posts can't all be regurgitations of newspaper articles! |

Indeed, my research on Macclesfield and what Bickerton was doing qualified me for a request from him to attend the Meadow for a coffee, which I ignored.
It involved flagging up articles from the Macclesfield Express, the links to which I put online.
He was through the revolving door soon afterwards.
