I have experienced the usual fog, flooding, frost, snow causing the postponement but yesterday was the first time the visiting team failing to turn up happened to me.
Anyone got any other unusual experiences?

Although not there, there was that Watford game called off when the lad on loan from Man U was killed going to the game.
Got close to the game being off for lack of a fourth official once at The Meadow. Remember the plea over the tannoy for any one qualified in the crowd!
You missed the one that was down to the wind too! That was for crowd safety.

The Man u kid that died was on his way to the Watford game, i remember it from last season in the conf as Town were playing south somewhere and i wasn't far behind the collision the kid was driving a black BMW, when we pased it Mrs TS said that whoever was driving that couldn't of survived The tannoy shout out i remember also many thought it was a wind up, but it was for real. And the game cancelled for the windy conditions was last season , home game against Gravesend, even the clock by the wakeman fell apart

Went to a Non league Cup game in Gloucestershire during the mid 80's. Due to a cock up no referee or linesmen turned up at all.
As the game had been switched to a Sunday they spent an hour ringing round local refs but couldn't find one. Game called off an hour after supposed kick off time.

Cardiff game re-arranged because it coincided with the Splott Auto-jumble!

I can't remember if they played on or not, but a few years ago a piece of the roof blew off at St Andrews during a Birmingham v Wolves game, narrowly missing a section of the crowd before ending up on the touchline!

TOASTERS! I kid u not people! Some small Scottish team had such a run down ground that the local council siad they would close it down if they found any new faults before the next home game. The council offical did a check of the ground and only found 1 new fault an toaster with a blown fuse-sure enough the ground was closed and there next home game was cancelled!
