m Did you bother to go today? Or did you stare at Jeff Stelling and the Liverpool score all afternoon? Get a grip, embarrassing yourself 😂 no, after having a heart op yesterday and being under Anesthetic, I was at home after being advised to rest all day, and what a great stress free day its been , well apart from you on my back Not sure how you can say we got battered when you weren’t at the game. Anyway - all the best

In the opinion of myself and Northwestman, that was an ok day spoiled by the following results: - Cambridge drawing with Ipswich - Burton beating Fleetwood - MK Dons beating Bristol Rovers 😂😂😂

Cracking result. Second best in the first half but some great defending and saves from Marosi. After the changes we were by far the better side started passing the ball and especially after that save from that excellent Bloxham shot. They looked rattled and confidence sapped after that.
Great finish from Bowman unbelievable assist and nice to see Bloxham get a good run and put in a really solid performance.

Rode a bit of luck first half, some classy saves.
Subs changed everything, blocko and bowman excellent.
Phillips magic for the goal.
Feel we've peaked early and will see what happens when we lose one and the subsequent form.
Always nice to do that flailing armed w****r Robinson though, who I class highly in my hated managers list.
Up the town.

Ryan Bowman is certainly our best finisher. I would love to see him go on a scoring run between now and the end of the season.

Hat off to SC again. I would not have started with that line up nor made those substitutions; but they really paid off.
Bloxham showed glimpses that he could be immense - definitely worth persevering with.

There’s way too many quality sides above us to even consider playoffs in my opinion, we’ve stolen three games in a row now, sounds crazy to say after 5 in a row but we’re just not as good as the teams above us to make the top 6. Unbelievable work rate and dedication from this side, great to see even if the performances aren’t great. Marosi the best player on the pitch by far today. You’ll never be able to question the commitment and spirit of this team and coaching staff, there’s something special in the group. While I don’t think we’re anywhere near good enough to make the playoffs I’m just happy to see this level of commitment from a team who care and not to be looking over our shoulders all season. Few weeks ago I said I couldn’t believe there was people on here checking the gap to the relegation zone, if there’s anyone still doing that, give your head a wobble. Time to make it 6 against Vale. We "stole" a lot of wins in the hurst season aswell. We also had nowhere near the quality that Wigan and Blackburn had (because they spent beyond there means but thats another discussion). My point is that football is about momentum and mentality and there is no reason that we can not have a play off push 2nd half of the season. We also have to play a lot of the teams around us so we will have a big say in who makes top 6.

it's us that won't let the game flow , when the game flowed oxford we're battering us and a goal was coming , we have gone into crazy gang mode again 😝 Oxford didn’t “batter” us at all They were the better team first half yes. But we clung on in They missed some great chances. They could have easily been 5-0 up by the time we scored if it wasnt for a MOTM performance from Marosi and some good luck.

Momentum is everything though and confidence in the dressing room will be sky high at the moment.
I suppose the only concern I have is can we keep this small squad fit for the remainder of the season.
I don't know how our yellow card tally is looking like at the moment and if anyone is close to a suspension?

I have no idea how we're pulling these out of the hat but best just to enjoy it whilst we can. For the most part a pretty scrappy game played at 100mph which meant neither team was able to put together much in the way of constructive football. But once again a superb effort by all involved. Hats of to the defence who handled everything that was thrown at them. I guess special mention to Dunkley who was playing like a man possessed, Lord knows how many headers he won today. As for things at the other end, not a lot to report but fair play for the goal. Not sure who it was who had the awareness just to lift the ball over the defence to Bowman but it was a great bit of skill. I thought it was Phillips but looking here it was Bloxham? And great to see the captain running over to give a pat on the back to whoever it was who won the throw in in injury time too (and then started to give out plenty of encouragement to see the game out). It was Phillips and probably one of the best passes I have seen for a long time considering on we was his ass, stands up and flicks a perfect ball to Bowman.

Just in case you want anything more to celebrate Josh Vela got a straight red card in the 86th min for Fleetwood. Fleet thought they had got an equaliser in the 94th min, only for Burton to get a winner in the 96th and wolves won 3-0 and Everton won

There's often a team for whom momentum and team spirit fling them into play off contention, and we have to play most if not all of the teams around us, so no reason why it can't be us this season. That said, and like most on here, I'm realistic and pragmatic and think we'll probably end the season roughly where we are now, but not only is it good to be in this position and dreaming but we shouldn't underestimate what an incredible job Cotterill has done to fashion a realistic shout of a top half finish in a very strong league.

My sensible prediction is that we end the season in midtable after up and down form and some poor results against teams much better than ourselves but now that we don't have to worry about relegation I am only going to look up and dream.

It’s the keepers job to make saves!! I also think Marosi was our MOTM but as I’ve said, we’re away from home, you expect to weather a storm or two, we did it, we came through it, and came good again

Yet again I thought we were pretty poor, well shocking really, for most part but the subs did change the game and in that better spell with them on the pitch we yet again found a way.
Soak it in, we don’t often get feelings and atmospheres like the end of the last two games. Feet very firmly on the ground but still a total waste if we don’t dream a little right now.
All the subs and Phillips excellent. Dunkley too, but todays a big thank you to Marosi.

It’s a delight to support this club at the moment - a hardworking, organised team with flashes of quality who would all run through a brick wall for the cause, and tremendous support from the stands which they’ve completely earned.
We may not be playing particularly well, and it clearly won’t last forever, but that’s why we have to live in the moment and not look too far ahead. What a month.

I said prior to the game that I had only seen us play well there once before and that was 1-1 in Hurst’s season, I still hold that view but we won.
Bringing on our “B” team in the second half really changed it for us, we eventually managed some cohesive passing and actually looked threatening. The pressure prior to the goal built up the noise and the goal came, so well done all both on and off the pitch.
Really enjoyed the last 20, Marosi kept us in it, a tease from Bloxham and a well taken finish from Bowman. Great noise and bouncing 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
