Quite simply one of the best away wins I have seen. The away atmosphere was just incredible and we kept going till the end. Wonderful win made even more the better that my father who I don't really get on well with lives in Oxford so winning like that and being in an away end like that was amazing. I remember when I used to live down south and used to see Gillingham but never really supported them in the way I do with Shrewsbury, love all the fans and the support we give!! (:

“ Shrewsbury fans were absolutely brilliant to be fair. So much better than Gillingham's (a club of equivalent size). It's like Shrewsbury fans have been taking lessons from Crystal Palace.”
A great day with fantastic support from start to finish. Had to persuade a couple it was worth going ( not the best away day) but so glad we did…..bring on Vale can see a gate of > 8500 can’t wait 9 & 10 safe standing sold out with good sales in other parts too. Club really need to push this all week.

Pretty standard/poor atmosphere first half, but second half, especially last 20, was really good. Always good to hear we came over loud and clear on radio/ifollow. And good to get recognition again from home fans.
Well done to the 550

As we knew the two sicknotes were on the way out, what a pity we couldn't have backed the manager with a quality signing to help the club push on. Lack of ambition rearing it's ugly head again?

The trouble is, I suspect, that we hoped to off load O’Brien completely but it is only a loan and could possibly be back at the end of the season still on the same wages.

No point in wishing for things that didn't happen, signings, points at Christmas, etc. We are where we are, and that's a pretty good place. We don't have loads of new players to "gel" into the team, we do have a squad where every member is valued and can be relied on to do their bit. At least we know we haven't taken on another shirker.

If he is back with us at the end of the season we will surely end his contract "by mutual agreement". Will still cost us money in a pay off, just probably not as much as paying his wages for a full year. A very expensive mistake for the club whatever the situation is.

Most of Cotterill’s signings have been really good, but this was a bad mistake Interesting listening to his post match yesterday, explaining quite how big a job it was to overhaul a woeful squad he inherited…

The hope has to be that he does well at Gils and someone wants him, on a "free" say.

We really are living in cuckoo land regarding getting rid. My guess is we are paying about three quarters of his salary and who can blame Gillingham? Even if he does well and Gillingham want him next season, there will not be much competition for his signature at this level. The best we can hope for is they are willing to have him next season and pay possibly half his wages? It happens..

I would love to know who did his medical? Sounds like he was crocked when he arrived

We do have a tough run of games in March & April … I'm sure the rug will be pulled from under our feet any time now but if we are looking up rather than down then that's no bad thing considering how many points the sides sat in the play-offs are ahead of us. The more "six pointers" the better.
