May sound stupid but Bently have done it now and other places round here. We have a car park most of which is used for two hours every other week. Why not have free electric and sell back to the grid? Its a smaller thing but iv had them on my house for years and get enough back to pay my electic and some of my gass bill.

Well, never turn down a potential revenue scheme without looking into it's feasabiity.

Sounds like a great idea. Presumably the build / maintenance costs are much lower having them near ground level as opposed to on the stand roofs.

I'm really ignorant about green tech but are they worth it?
When they were starting to become more famous in the 2000s (if I'm not mistaken), they were always labelled very inefficient.

Am I missing something here? Where are the cars all going to park if its covered in solar panels ? 🤔 Not enough room to park now.

The stadium roof would be the obvious place for them, I looked into getting them and the verdict basically was they are useless between November - March, feasible in April, September, October and pretty damn good in May, June and July.

I was told the new ones are pretty good 10 months of the year, you just need battery storage. As soon as I can afford the panels & battery I'm going off grid.

All the above but turn it into a vehicle charging station with rapid chargers for cars and commercials, Smithy’s open as a caf for refreshments while they charge…. Signage off the A5.
