See our former keeper Charles-cook was sent off tonight for Bromley just on HT and John-Lewis score from the penalty spot straight after. Guess the two incidents were related ??

Knight Percival red carded (again) in Kiddy's 2-0 defeat away at Chester.
Charlie Caton again on the scoresheet.

Tom Bradshaw scored a late equaliser for Millwall last night against Burnley following a match-winning hat-trick at the weekend. And Callum Burton saved three penalties in a shoot-out to take Plymouth to Wembley in the EFL Trophy. Tom Bradshaw has gone on to enjoy a very fruitful career ever since he left us for Walsall… there was a time once where he was frozen out under GT and I did wonder if a future in Non League was calling for him… fair to say he has proved me wrong there! A pity for him that Wales have had such a strong squad in recent years as I’m sure he would have gone on to have won more caps for them as well.

Watched Kelvin Langmead score for Banbury at Chester last Saturday. Age 37 now and looked a class above those around him. Watched Charlie Caton score for Chester last night against Kidderminster. He was put through on a one on one with the keeper. Very assured finish. Cant help thinking that Bloxham would benefit from a spell out on loan at a decent non league club. Certainly not doing Caton any harm. Chester heading back to the National League. A step up for Caton if he stays.

Not been the most prolific at championship level but is having a really good season this time. His partnership with Zian Fleming seems to be working really well. Never know, he could end up as a premiership player

I've gone along to watch a few of Chester's home games this season, the most recent have seen Charlie Caton in the starting eleven. On a good run at the moment. They've certainly cemented a play off spot, could still get one of the 2 automatic places.

My newspaper noted that Carlton Morris scored his 14th goal of the season for Luton last Saturday.
At the age of 27 he’s having his best goal scoring season.

3 Goals in the opening 12 mins of the two SPL games tonight.
Every goal for a different club and every goal scored by an ex town player.
Future Salop pub quiz question there.
Answers:
Players in question, Goldson OG, Tavernier and Ginnelly.

Blimey, still feels like a young player but clearly isn't! Luton having another excellent season. losing Nathan Jones hadn't seemed to harm them. On course for their best finish since being relegated from first division, the year before it became the premier league.

I see our hopes to be former striker O'Brien is hardly blazing for Gillingham.
3 starts, the rest of the time fairly late sub appearances. Yet to score. Looks like it could be pay off time in the summer rather than anyone coming in and offering to take hom off our hands ☹

Yep Ryan Sears is one of 10 players in Newtowns 18 man squad that graduated from our academy That’s a bit concerning. Why? The majority of Shrewsbury academy players won't ever play at such a high level.

See that Tom has been included in the Welsh squad announced today, first time in 5 years.

Why? The majority of Shrewsbury academy players won't ever play at such a high level. I think the reason why Venceremos expressed concern was because nobody has really given the comings and goings of our academy any thought.Admittedly players leave the academy every year, and from all of the different age groups. Therefore it's only when you read of specifics,IE the number of ex academy players at Newtown, that people realise the throughput at our academy. The real conundrum is how we get more academy players through into our first team.

Not a player but I see Tranmere have just sacked Micky Mellon.
Jon Nolan is there too but I can’t see if he’s played much for then since signing.

Google says he signed one year contract but has only played ONCE !! A few more than that. 12 in total, but only 2 them starts in the league and the last one of them was in September. Not appeared for over 2 months so presume he is injured at the moment.
