The farcical renaming of Black Boy Lane
So the Labour led council decided to rename the street even though there is no indication that the street name has any racist connotations, even though when polled the vast majority of people who live on the street were against the change (indeed, some have put up their own street signs as a small protest) and even though it would cost thousand to implement (its reported to be over £180,000)...but the best bit in all this, is that the new street sign still contains the old name. I mean if it was so offensive in the first place.
And to make things worse, the new street sign has been vandalized within 24 hours of the change (you suspect by locals who were against the change in the first place).
You just look gone out at this sort of stuff...
