Not good news - nothing either club could do about it, I feel for both sets of fans at Gigg Lane

i wonder how many fans actually got there though - there must be a lot of fans stuck in the traffic too?

I just got back- we got there at 2.15 and a steward said the team coach was still at Stoke. We figured it would be cancelled and came home. Only came from S manchester tho'. Apparently the M6 was impassable going north.

Weren't many Shrews fans there at 2.15, so I guess the majority were stuck on the M6, yes.

Will we lose points for the no show?

How could we possibly lose points for getting inadvertantly stuck in a major traffic jam? When was the last time a league club got docked points for something similar?

May be only a fine then. A no-show at a game is a serious matter. I cannot recall a game being postponed because a team didn't turn up before.

When exactly was it known that the M6 was severly blocked? I think I heard just gone midday so I would be interested to know where exactly the team coach was at that moment in time.

Plenty of Shrews fans in the Swan & Cemetary when we arrived at 1.45. The Bury fans were philosophical about the cock-up while we were embarrassed.
