The only way to prevent them is through randomly searching people. I have no idea how big these things are but assume they’re not small! I'll be responding with letting them off at more random interjections. Smoke bombs to applaud some neat possession in the middle of the field, blue fare set off when the opponents score, keeps everyone on their toes and increases the fun. These pyro.dogs don't scare me.

I get your drift, but the papers will only write about it if someone gets hurt. Impossible to tell how many occasions a flare has been set off and no one has got injured. But I would hazard a guess that maybe 90% of the time no one gets injured.
Still no excuse though. My 7yo has bad asthma and if he was caught up in pyro smoke then he will never want to go again. Which is a sad thought.
