I’ve been watching Politics Live on BBC . Always a great watch with the magnificent Jo Coburn in charge . As you can tell I’m a great fan of hers .
Today Helen Morgan is on the show and I’ve been very impressed with her contribution . How I wish we had someone like her to represent us in Shrewsbury .

While Daniel kawczynski may have a decent majority it isn't as large as Owen Patterson had.
History tells us as shown once again by the 3 by elections this year that only the Lib Dems can beat the Tories in the true blue heartlsnds.
I think it is a long shot to say the Lib Dems can win Shrewsbury but it isn't impossible. Fundamentally it needs the non tory vote to unite around one candidate
I believe the Lib Dem candidate is an avid Town Fan

It also predicts that Helen Morgan will get less than 10% of the vote in North Shrophire so its predictions are clearly rubbish

considering that labour had over 60% of the vote in a labour seat in Chester with a 17% swing on top . Considering how little our MP does for us his departuer and P45 is long overdue.

I watched when her when she talking about transport issues in the county specificaly buses ,she was very articulate and well informed. our Shrewbury MP did not turn up !! |

The Lib Dems are a complete waste of time as a political party. They go from by election to by election cherry picking a constituency problem and then bombard the electorate. For us in North Shropshire it was the ambulance service.
The UK deserves better then the political parties we have and the games they play.
I'm hoping there will be a strong independent candidate standing in North Shropshire for the next general election or I won't bother voting.
Or actually I could stand myself 😁😁😁

I certainly wouldn't regard Helen Morgan as a 'waste of time'.
I wrote to her stating my concerns with regards to the freezing of personal tax allowances. Not only did she reply with a lengthy e-mail agreeing with me - she forwarded my e-mail to the Treasury and then supplied me with a reply made to her by Victoria Atkins, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, in which it was stated that the levelling up of the personal tax and N.I. allowances will benefit 2.2 million working age people - but not me alas, as I'm retired. Still, at least the state pension is being increased in line with inflation, even if it is one of the lowest in Europe.

Taking his case to Court in some style so I read . People like him just can’t let go . He would be better advised to keep his head down and count his money . |
