www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11477217/Tony-Blair-says-Peter-Mandelson-reassured-Post-Office-Horizon-reliable.htmlTony Blair has pointed to a note from Peter Mandelson providing reassurances that the computer system at the heart of the Post Office IT scandal was reliable. The former Prime Minister gave the order to build the Horizon computer system despite being warned it was ‘increasingly flawed’. In the years that followed, more than 700 postmasters were convicted for thieving from their own tills based on computer data corrupted by dozens of bugs. Campaigners have blamed the New Labour Prime Minister for failing to halt the project, despite receiving ‘multiple communications’ about its ‘chequered history’. Documents at the time showed Mr Blair was given the option to renegotiate or cancel the Horizon contract, but pressed ahead.

nothing was ever Blairs fault he is like the worst second hand car slesman all oily and smarmy and im a LABOUR supporter.
such a long list of things that caused harm to this country. he took us to a war we had no business going into he is devolved power look at the problems in scotland green lighted mass imigration somthing in the region of 6 million people. PFI which is a big reason why councils are in such a mess and it has tied up large sums with the nhs.
just a pity the Country never had John Smith as leader he was the best Prime Minister we never had just two quotes how pertienant they are 19 years later.
"In his last conference speech in 1993, Smith branded the Tory Government “arrogant, centralised, and unresponsive to people”.
"In 1993, John Smith said everyone “knows somebody who does a job of work, not for greed, not purely for profit, but for the satisfaction of helping and caring for others”.
“And not a word of thanks do they get from this gvernment, not a word of praise, nor any recognition of the value of their effort,” he said.
“All they get is a constant barrage of attack. They see their work devalued, their jobs threatened by cuts, their status and conditions undermined."
