In 2020/21, which is the most recent year we have accounts for, Sir John Major, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and David Cameron all claimed more than £110,000, while Theresa May claimed about £58,000.

Must have missed your post complaining about Tom Watson recently receiving a peerage.
You know, the former Labour MP and Shadow Secretary of State who stood by serial liar Carl Beech after he made a series of false allegations against former MPs?
One of whom, Greville Jenner, who died during the proceedings and never had the chance to clear his name before his death.
A far greater injustice than an ex Prime Minister receiving an honour, even if it was a very short lived premiership.

Quite agree , Watson jumped on the bandwagon and went all out to support Beech in my view to enhance his own standing within his own constituency and wider communities . The whole system of awarding peerages should be reviewed , it’s completely out of hand and, in my opinion , open to abuse . It will never happen though , too many with invested interests from both main parties - the whole system is a joke .

Rumour has it that she's planning to give Kwarteng a peerage and a seat in the House of Lords, as presumably he's toxic in the House of Commons and has no chance of getting back in Cabinet.

Would be ridiculous based on time served in the job. It needs cutting back, you should do 12 months in a position before anything is afforded to you.

A lot changes in politics in 24 hours, nevermind a year!
