See online Bristol Rovers seats on sale. Went to ticket office this morning and told terrace tickets won't be available until seats sold out.
Now that is madness, certainly won't be buying tickets until terrace available as want to see the game

How weird is this the new ‘thing’. Same as. Morecambe. You would think all clubs would know that for the majority of fans a standing option will always be favourable. The seating at Bristol is abysmal anyway.

Making life difficult for away fans isn’t it? Lower league clubs were crying out for fans to come back after covid but seem to have short term memories.

Another club treating away fans as a nuisance.
CLUBS PLEASE STOP MAKING IT HARD FOR FANS TO SPEND MONEY WITH YOYR BUSINESS.

They are charging Oxford £30 for the pleasure to sit in a temporary stand too. £25 for us. Seems most away days will cost us between £25/£30 to get in.

Is this going to be an ongoing thing throughout the season? Very strange approach if so.

I’ve sent a message to Mike our SLO hopefully he can liaise with the right people and stop this nonsense..
My suggestion would be to wait until the terrace is available before anyone buys a ticket. I’ll be ringing BR on Monday to get to the truth.

How much to see Oxford - they’re having a laugh surely. If I was an Oxford fan I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole. it seems Bristol Rovers have ideas above well above their station - must be the manager. Trouble is if we don’t sell the seating out the terrace won’t be available.

Just looking at the Oxford ticket site and the terrace is available for them, hopefully will be for us as well

Any Oxford fan who pays that is part of the problem.
Sad but true.

Looking at it again. They do category pricing. Be interesting to see how much they charge Morecambe fans when they go there. Rovers are charging their fans a tenner for an adult for that game.
For our game they are charging between £22-25 for adults.

I’ve now spoken to Pete the Bristol Rovers ticket office manager and tried to talk to Martin ours but he’s off on a Monday.
Unfortunately it’s exactly the same storey as Morecombe (I also spoke to theirs) where they’ve made the decision based on the low initial allocation we asked for. Following our request they sent an e mail confirming a number (he wouldn’t disclose details but later mentioned 400 but may not be the number) and that they’d be for the seating area. They will now only open the terrace if we sell out the seats but did say they were open to discuss it with our Club…I explained the problems this is causing away fans wanting to stand holding back and he understood and sort of agreed it wasn’t right but it was down to our club.
E mail now to Brian Martin Mike and Roger.

Really don't understand, why did we ask for a low allocation. I see the Wycombe tickets are on sale but nothing about it on the club site, Its like they don't want fans travelling any more to away games

I've been quick to criticise the ticket office on plenty of things recently but we only have half the story here. Morecambe & Bristol Rovers have decided to only open the terrace if we sell out our allocation of tickets which I'm sure seems a stupid decision for most of our fans. The key things for me are did our ticket office make it clear it was an initial allocation (we would see how they sell and potentially want more) and then did Morecambe/Bristol Rovers make it clear to our ticket office they wouldn't open the terrace until they were sold out?

I don’t understand it either. We’ve never had this problem before so is it away clubs making these decisions to save money on staffing, etc.?

If it was a one off I’d agree but two clubs on consecutive games exactly the same and never happened before? I’d expect us to take over 800 to both Morecambe (first game) and BR popular way day so why ask for 4/500 initially?

The strange one here is the toilets and buffet are the same for both seats and terrace at BR so can foresee 400+ all going to the toilets at the same time and ending up on the terrace.
