are there any town fans who think we are not going to win Saturday ? unthinkable isn't it myself I think it will be tight but we'll sneak it late on 1-0 it sure is going to be an unhappy place on here if we don't They scored two more goals than town did on Saturday against a much better team. They need to get on the scoreboard after last week's solid but disappointing start

For me, I still think we're undercooked by a lack of pre season games. So, a draw is most likely although hopefully we'll get our first goal of the season. 1-1.

Probably need to score at least two to win with the Whalley factor.

Ticket sales look very underwhelming so far... I know it will come across as negative and I really don't want to as SuttonShrews must feel like he's getting it from all sides, but 72 hours before our first home game of the season and the only thing on the club website/twitter/facebook page is a story about which buses are running (which is actually a story about them for the season but saying starting from Saturday). And our official ticket office twitter page hasn't bothered to mention that tickets are actually on sale

Ticket sales look very underwhelming so far... Pay on the gate for games like this ffs. Is it just me that gets so annoyed by clubs selling tickets for routing run of the mill league games that are never likely to sell out?

Like Jaytee, I can't be arsed anymore. I'll attend if there's a freebie going, that'll be about it.

Club website, social media, Shroppy Star, emails etc. Post some letters or fliers out to local communities with details of the seasons fixtures. All easy stuff to get people involved. Hopefully things buck up by 3pm Saturday but it looks sparse right now

Have to say Martin I had exactly the same feeling years ago that the way the club was being promoted and the opportunities being missed was nothing short of appalling. This was back in the Malcolm Starkey days so probably 35-40 years ago now. It's nothing new tbh sadly.

Is it just me that gets so annoyed by clubs selling tickets for routing run of the mill league games that are never likely to sell out? I mean, you essentially can. If you don't have Internet, there's two ticket offices located within spitting distance of two of the three stands where you can buy tickets. Alternatively you can order online anytime you like (including, remarkably on the day!) which takes about a minute at the click of a button once you've got an account set up and gives you the ticket on your phone. All of this speeds up everything up on the gates for everyone with tickets and means there's no dodgy accounting going on. I'm all for slagging off the club, and the away ticket allocations and need to buy in advance are a bit farcical, but there's no point criticising something for not existing when it basically does already. Let's be honest, you won't be going in any case.

None of them for the better to me so the chances of me ever coming back regularly IS very remote. Still a faff that you describe but didnt realise it existed. I was thinking more of drinking up your pint at 2.40 and decide to turn up at a turnstile and hand your hard earned cash over to get into the ground by 2.55. Still seems like hard work to me who was used to a much easier way of entry.

Buying tickets for away games in advance is surely due to the fact that some away clubs charge more on the day.

Quite. I couldn’t believe it the first time it was quoted as to what would happen.

But again, you can do that by rocking up at the ticket office shortly before kick off from the pub if you want, or even better, ordering at the click of a button from your own home (or the pub!) The system works for the 95%+ of people who are used to it and means there's next to no queues going in, going back to pay on the gate would likely lead to all sorts of faff. (Ignoring B12M's irrelevant post, as the poor snowflake seems to be well and truly rattled by my post on the other thread)

What’s hard about that?

if we field the same team i predict a 0-0 draw but im happy to be proved wrong you could be spot on the annoying thing for me so far is morecambe were very poor, as much as a point away first game sounds decent this game could come back to bite us on the arse at the end of the season had we had several more pre season run out under our belt I'd like to think we might have had that game done and dusted before half time as an example, had Dunkley been sent off in the first minute for something that game would still have ended 0-0 wrong tactics , and didn't switch them at all during the game then again what do we expect starting with 7 defenders in the side and keep it like that
