As requested in the other thread How does everyone rate our chances? Do we expect Udoh to come back into the fold? Shaun Whalley to get the best reception of a returning hero for many a year. Looks like he was deployed on his favoured right hand side of a four for their game against Charlton. With Wycombe (A) followed by Derby and Ipswich (H) to come, you'd think this gives us our best chance of getting off the mark in August with a W. What does everyone think?

Hopefully Dan will at least figure in the match day squad as well as O'Brien.
Who knows, we might have even strengthened the squad further come Saturday.

Accrington certainly should not be underestimated - they have one of the best managers in this division who knows how to produce a competitive side on a presumably low budget. Having said that we are well capable of beating them if one of Udoh or O'Brien is fit to give us a boost in the final third - I predict 2-1 to Town with a late Whalley consolation goal getting the biggest cheer of the afternoon.

Always look forward to beating Stanley if only to listen to that pompously inflated Mr Colman post match.
Udoh was missed at Morecambe, and if Playing on Saturday we should pick up the three points
Will there be a signing announced before Saturday

Classic Shaun Whalley assist for Accy on Saturday. Looked to be restored to his best position on the right

It's impressive that Accrington have had no relegations since 1999. Quite an achievement for a club of their comparative size.

We seem to have struggled v Accy since that great come back 2 or 3 years back.
They look a tough nut to crack but if we are to succeed this is the kind of game we have to win.
Head says 1 all, possible 2 1 if Udoh ia back and fit.

Really, really well run club. if our club could be summed up by the word undisclosed, then accy could be summed up by the words well informed I've just been reading an update from the Accrington chairman on Twitter which gives a detailed breakdown of income from a pre-season friendly against Blackburn. A slightly different outlook on dealings with fans than our chairman has Although interestingly I was chatting to a few Accy fans last season at our place and they didn't like him, I assume they are in the minority.

Just looked at that. Interesting read. Would be interested to know what the profit was from it. He didn’t mention the expenses

are there any town fans who think we are not going to win Saturday ?
unthinkable isn't it
myself I think it will be tight but we'll sneak it late on 1-0
it sure is going to be an unhappy place on here if we don't

I didn't catch the Morecambe match thread before it was sunk, what were people's opinions on O'Brien for the short time he was on the pitch? Did he catch the eye at all?

No new signings means the team still largely picks itself. Only question would be I fitness of Bayliss, Udoh and O'Brien. Presume which ever one is fittest gets the nod

are there any town fans who think we are not going to win Saturday ? unthinkable isn't it I wouldn't say it's unthinkable, they are an established L1 side and our last 3 home games against them we have drawn 2 and lost 1. However they obviously aren't a big hitter in the league and dare I say it, it's the sort of game we should be looking to win, particularly if we want to do anything other than have a season of struggle. Like you I'm expecting it to be a tight game, hopefully we will nick it but I wouldn't be surprised to see it end up a draw.

I'd like a win but can see a score draw.
