Thanks Martin, appreciate that. Don't believe everything you see on the news. From the railway platform @ Birmingham International, self scan check in bags and security through to Wetherspoons in under 20 mins. Good to hear. Was going to suggest yesterday that all would be fine but didnt want to tempt fate. Guess it must be happening sometime somewhere but as usual the media are hugely hyping the situation, much like they did over Covid.

Talking to yet another person today who had no queueing issues at Birmingham airport the other week when going to Benidorm. Straight through security inside 10 mins.

I’ve been to 4 UK airports in the last 9 months. None of them any issues out of the ordinary.
Longest wait I’ve had was the bar queue in East Mids 😂

Off the Turkey on Thursday and dreading the airport/flights.... we go from Birmingham and touch wood, hope no issues but I its maybe wishful thinking. I fly from Birmingham tomorrow, I'll report back when I'm on Wi-Fi the other end. Where is this "Wi-Fi" you are flying to, an island somewhere ?

My Stepdaughter and family (5 kids) flew to Zante this morning. Scheduled to take off at 7.30 there flight number came up but the destination said Doncaster, a mistake they thought but no. A plane left Doncaster without a customers luggage (no details how much) so the Birmingham flight was sent to pick up the left luggage from Doncaster then fly and onto Zante!
Turned a 3 1/2 hour flight into nearly 6 hours

TUI by any chance?

i was flying to colerado with Delta we hit a storm and also had very bad turbulance, the plane was like somthing from alton towers, it then suddenl dived i think that was when most passengers started playing, especially when the copilot came out to look at the engines !
i like flying but the european rail network is really good about 2,hour and 30 minutes to Brussels on the eurostar about 59 euros , just over 2 hours from Brussels to amsterdam for 25 euros. i find the uk railways very expensive with many of the trains the seats are uncomfertable and the service is poor.

Yep I've heard stories that they are moving flights from the busier airports like Bham and Manchester to Doncaster, I guess mainly due to the busier ones having issues like luggage problems etc. That's why I guessed TUI.
