Wycombe v Wednesday final with Wednesday winning in the 93rd minute would be perfect. Preferably after a corner that is incorrectly awarded.

They did nothing wrong, it was the referee / linesman Ainsworth knew damned well that wasn't a goal but said nothing. Wonder if his shirt is worth anything given the current trend for unsporting memorabilia?

It seems to be a little known fact that karma did come back to bite Wycombe on the behind and it involved STFC. Our last season at level 4, 2014/15, we had a midweek game at Bury at the end of the season. We were pretty safe in the promotion places, (we finished second). The final automatic place was between our hosts, Bury and Wycombe. A Bury defeat would almost certainly condemn them to the Play-offs and let Wycombe overtake them into third place. The game entered the final few minutes with the scores level when a cross from the left was prodded home right in front of the away end, to put Town in front, or so we thought. The Lino had his flag raised and the goal was wiped out because he judged the ball had crossed the line for a goal kick a split second before it was crossed. TV replays later showed that this was not the case and the goal should have stood. The result of this draw was that Bury finished one point above Wycombe in the final automatic slot. If our (winning) goal had stood, they would have finished level on points and Wycombe would have got promoted by having a plus 3 better goal difference. Wycombe went into the play offs but lost out to Southend, so the poor decision by the linesman, ultimately cost them promotion.

If it was a choice between MK and an Attila the Hun Invitation XI, I'd be right behind Attila. He isn't as obnoxious.

Sheffield Wednesday is far and away the best away day of the 4, so I hope we are playing them again next season. No preferences for the others.
I don’t share the dislike of Wycombe or Ainsworth but it’s not a great day out and we still haven’t won a league match there after nearly 30 years

Kelham Island Brewery to close 😮 Still lent you of good pubs and beer but quite a shock

Cotterill knew dammed well our player had been booked twice but threw a dickie fit when Evens reminded the ref…. Players and managers will take any ‘advantage’ to get a win, if the refs influenced by a managers reaction and gives a goal then its the ref at fault. No difference to a player appealing for a corner / throw in despite knowing the ball had come off him. Occasionally works is it cheating? Would you expect the player to say hang on ref I touched it last?

MK Dons are splitting the Wycombe fans into different corners of the same end for the return leg. What a pathetic little mob they are.

All they need to do it get some wannabe singer warbling Hey Jude at half time to get the crowd going...... (oh and anounce travel details for the final) 😂 Pity both teams cant lose this one.

Just want Sunderland to bottle it.
Majority of fans fine, but a couple were absolute 🔔ends as we left Stadium of Light. They forgot we were both in League 1!!

Attendance: 44,742.
Sunderland fans should be absolutely delirious with that. They’ll be dancing on the Wetherspoons tables tonight.

Sounds just like Shrewsbury fans, majority alright but a few decided to show the club up in Liverpool…. Would it be fair if we were all judged by a few knob-ends?

So so game. One of those that you think is going to be a decent game to watch (looking to who is involved and with it being a play off game) but not quite living up to expectations. Hopefully better to come Monday with the second leg...👍

MK Dons are splitting the Wycombe fans into different corners of the same end for the return leg. What a pathetic little mob they are. Restricted Wycombe to only 2,000 tickets as well even though the stadium is half empty and Milton Keynes have admitted it was for competitive advantage… how would we feel if the town did such a thing?

Beat me to it. Was just about to say how much of a disgrace this is. Complete s**thouse of a club. Can’t believe how much of an easy ride MK get in this country when you compare it with the universal hatred of RB Leipzig in Germany.

I would hate our club to do it but I have absolutely no surprise in me that Milton Keynes have done this. I would have thought it was against League rules? But then their whole existence should have been against League rules in the way it was allowed to happen so, as I say, nothing surprises me about them.
Wycombe should have complained or do they not have more than 2000 away fans so couldn’t be bothered?

Bury were in fact 1-0 up at the time of Mark Ellis' equaliser being incorrectly ruled out, and so it would not have been the winning goal as our superfan correspondent erroneously claims twice in their post. While the two points dropped by Bury had the equaliser stood would have seen Wycombe over the line (lol) in the race for 3rd, I can't stand by and watch such falsehoods be spread. Good luck to Wycombe against the Franchise Scum. KLAXON ENDS

1-0 Franchise Scum. A powerful looping header… game on, come on Wycombe. Hopefully both teams can manage to lose. FACT CHECK KLAXON There is absolutely no situation in which both teams can manage to lose. The one situation where this could approximately happen is if the Franchise Scum win on the night tonight, meaning both teams will have have lost one leg. However, one team will have to win the tie, even if that means extra time or penalties. Both teams managing to lose would render this a spectacular waste of time, and make the final at Wembley a real damp squib for the winner of the Sunderland vs Sheffield Wednesday tie. Again, note use of the word winner in the last sentence, I cannot stress enough that they can't both lose. KLAXON ENDS
