Ipswich, Sunderland, Charlton, Wigan … Or Bromley in the FA Trophy final? I know which I’d rather.

Ipswich, Sunderland, Charlton, Wigan … Or Bromley in the FA Trophy final? I know which I’d rather. Goes without saying. Not much we can do about that at the moment though, so we can only enjoy the prospect of going to Wembley. Swap the final for promotion in a heartbeat, but might be greedy and ask for both

I've just come in, drink in hand, from the front terrace.I haven't stopped dancing! It's a crisp evening even with the patio heaters on. To say we're elated is like saying Nelson Mandela was happy to leave Robben Island. We're delirious! Swinging against the balcony, looking out above and beyond, and thanking the heavens we find our club where it is today. It really in like Travolta in Phenomenon. We've been struck by nothing short of divine intervention. It's a foooookin' miracle! Big support. Electric. Stockport won't fancy coming here again in May if points are needed. It's been like a dream . And it's just the start. We're absolutely bouncing! Disco football!

Deary me Wrexham’s standards really have dropped.

You actually come over ok, but you probably get too much stick just because of your fellow supporter.

Why were the Hollywood Sheep herders playing a home game in white? For some reason - kerching - it’s been our kit all through the FA Trophy. Any comment on the goal or was it just the kit that caught your eye? 🤣

Grizzly - I don’t think I get any stick on here. I wouldn’t bother if I did. I’ve worked in Shropshire since 2002. Remember that season? I gave out some stick for years on the back of that, so now it’s pay back. My time will most definitely come again and I’m armed and ready!
FWIW yesterday was one game I wanted you to win. I’m a football fan and so despise MK Dons

Absolutely correct. Not good for the rivalry though, to not cross paths for so long. My boys are 22, 18 and 15….Shrewsbury means absolutely nothing to them. It will be the same with Chester, unfortunately. Only games keep the rivalry truly alive. Yesterday was a prime example. To get one over Stockport made my lads’ weekend. They won’t even know how you got on, totally off their radar. Shame.

What another great weekend. I can't remember the last bad one? Was it fooookin' Torquay? Way back the first week in February? I see Stockport fans are mocking Ryan Reynolds for tweeting Mullins' scorcher was in his top 10 moments of his life. Never mind Stockport! We're coming for you in the league next. "It was a top ten life moment for me. Thank you". It was for me also Ryan. It was absolutely fooookin' fannnntastic! What a goal? And then the second! We haven't stopped dancing. It is a top 10 life moment for Ryan. He was persuaded into this venture by Rob McElhenney. They searched, brought in expert advice and found "That club". They've made the club sustainable from lucrative sponsorship seals, marketing etc. They are blown away by the club and towns history. And that was a dominant factor in the purchase. Both Ryan & Rob are genuinely in awe of the ground and support. Both are genuinely seriously into football now. Ryan Reynolds hasn't experienced anything like it in his life. The atmosphere. The fans.Everyone can afford a fewawii car, swimming pool, lions, tigers etc etc. But the chance doesn't arise to buy a financially starved football club with a massive existing fanbase every day? They were both stunned the first time they walked on the pitch. In awe. "It's a cathedral" said Rob.Ryan was gobsmacked. He felt he had to lie down on the hallowed turf to take it all in. He's been back twice since. He was just like the rest of us when Mullin scored arguably one of the best goals seen in living memory at The Racecourse. Out of our minds! And we still haven't come down!

Lost interest in that after about 3 lines so skipped the rest. Even with your massive support is there no one on red passion that will talk to you?

This joker is making me think twice on that, isn't there a forum for you to talk to like minded people? Oh right, that would be a Wrexham one! Hope it all doesn't go all Notts County for you...I really.....DO!

What a time to be a Wrexham fan? What a time? After years, decades of the club being run without backing or ambition, and property developers etc...someone came in, people of substance, and hit that gap in the market. It's a dream come true. Everything's out of this world! They could make a film about it! But wait! They are! That is going to be the #1 trending documentary. Welcome To Wrexham. How can it go wrong? Wrexham FC is big news everywhere. It would be undeniable that our historical neighbours and rivals aren't stunned by what's happening down the road... You can only imagine Chester fans. They're understanderbly shell shocked. Many writing begging letters to His grace The Duke Of Westminister for help. We're overjoyed with what's happened in so little time. Competetive on the pitch. League and cup positions. The astonishing support.the club infrastructure, ground development, new training facilty etc. There was a big hint on ambition when the members were questioned about moving to a bigger ground..... We're looking at another huge attendance tomorrow. I'm confident that we'll match Saturdays 8700. I'm even confident we'll beat it minus Saturdays 1200 from Stockport. It's going to be huge. Said months ago all our home games, and away followings were going to be sell outs or therabouts. This season I hoped for the play offs this season. Now there's no denying we're contenders for automatic promotion. At this moment in time I concede that I would be very disappointed and surprised if we didn't make the play offs

Good to see an 8 hour silence on this thread. Long may it continue..... (apart from me of course) 🙂 Agree. Just ignore him. On the other hand, it does provide a thread to compare and contrast Shrewsbury Town and Wrexham's standing in the football pyramid with the chap with the inferiority complex and his able, more sensible, assistant (Dick Dastardly and Mutley?).
Wrexham are at the base of the football pyramid, playing another team from down there next, Shrewsbury Town are playing Ipswich next.

Can’t argue with most comments. We are where we are, and so an FA Trophy final at Wembley is as good as it gets for now. Yes, our ground needs a makeover. R&R are definitely here to stay though, and will see the job through, whatever the cynics think. The ground development is to start soon and further outside investment is being brought in. Mullin’s first goal has had 3.5m views on Twitter. That’s obscene for a club ‘at the bottom of the pyramid’.
I’m not kidding myself, getting promotion this time round is a tall order, but a win tonight and then vs Eastleigh on Saturday would put us 5 points behind SC. I think they’ll react positively because they’re a very good side with an astute manager. However, pressure does weird and wonderful things, and all it takes is a couple of their players to feel the tension. I’d swap with SC, but chasing the leader does come with less pressure. Thanks for your support later tonight, it’s reassuring to know you’ll all be rooting for us 👍
