Has there ever been a Shewsbury fan who has gone onto, say, near neighbour Stoke City's or Wolves message board to announce every signing, every ground improvement, every detail about our Chairman? Last thing any Shrewsbury fan want to do, it would obviously set them up for ridicule from the higher up the pyramid club's fans. Why do Wrexham fans do it? Yes but Shrewsbury are of no significance to Stoke or Wolves, we are from a much lower level. Wrexham are of no significance to Shrewsbury fans. If we didnt have some bell end coming on here every few days the thread would die a natural death in days.

Last thing any Shrewsbury fan want to do, it would obviously set them up for ridicule from the higher up the pyramid club's fans. Why do Wrexham fans do it? That’s an incredible statement to be fair. Look back through this thread and I think you’ll find most Wrexham signings are announced by Shrewsbury fans. This thread is now on page 54 and what do you reckon, 97% comments by Shrewsbury fans? I seem to remember a few Shrewsbury fans on Red Passion too, jaytee and chirkblue spring to mind. At the end of the day your message board has a thread devoted to Wrexham but dominated by Shrewsbury fans. Starve it of oxygen and it will die. Pretty simple, really.

Mullin never had any intention of staying down south after Cambridge. His wife stayed on the Wirral throughout his entire time at Cambridge and insisted he moved back up north. He’s been quoted many times that putting his kid to bed each night is worth more than anything. He could have gone to Blackburn I believe, but we offered more money. Surprised it him until 23rd July to sign for you considering Wrexham is 30 minutes max even from the Deeside part of the Wirral, posh bit around Neston/Caldy/Heswall where he no doubts lives. What was he doing between the end of the season and finally signing for you?...having a look around to see what was available!

We're back in business with a BANG!
I don't think it'll be long before we cross swords again. I'm already looking forward to it. I have a gentlemans agreement already in place for a party of 25 aboard the Sabrina for a cruise in your town. Full allocation required at your place
We'll add a little spice and atmosphere to your fixture list

I'm telling you, one more year...yeah I know I've been saying this for fifteen years, you've gotta believe me, Gary Bennet's funn---hello? Hello?"

For the reason I’ve given already, Mullin was never going to Charlton or any other club that wasn’t commutable from his family home on the Wirral. We ticked his two boxes - he could drive to work each morning and a great financial deal.
No ambition? Jesus wept. Have a day off now and again. Wrexham is a club showing plenty of ambition and signing for us is a fantastic move for a lower league player (League 1 downwards).
Mullin is a money-grabber? Of course he is. He’s 27 years-old and with a young family trying to make as much money as possible in a career that will be over in 5 or 6 years time. If we approached a Shrewsbury player and offered to double his wages with a 3-year contract, they’d sign for us in a heartbeat.

I was thinking that if he lived Heswall down to Neston/ Burton then he could go down the A541 into Chester then out on the A483 to Wrexham

I was thinking that if he lived Heswall down to Neston/ Burton then he could go down the A541 into Chester then out on the A483 to Wrexham Oh I just picked the point furthest up the Dee Coast. He could live closer like South Wirral as you say but unless he lives in The Port (eek) then its all country roads and 45 minutes. Or go M53 A55 A483 which is 45 minutes. He could live further round on the Irish Sea Coast of Wirral, Meols/Hoylake which is nice but would still be 45 minutes plus. For a young family though I get the attraction of the more affluent areas of Wirral, very nice. Beaches/Countryside/City all within 10 minutes.

Absolutely agree, fantastic area to bring up a family! Sometimes I do think why on earth my late wife and I left 40 odd years ago, but then 3 kids and 6 grandchildren put me straight

To be fair someone did delete the old thread, but Pilch in his infinite wisdom decided to resurrect it.
Personally I'd happily see it binned again and you and your bestie kicked off the board. Maybe resurrect it again and allow you both back on when you're at the same level as us. I probably won't be around in another 30 or so years though, so I wouldn't care.

We're all counting down the days and hours till Saturday's game. We can't wait It promises to be an absolutely massive season for us. The club and fans. Last season broke many records. Attendances, winning runs, top goal scorers etc We'll break a few of those AGAIN this season. 5 quality signings and more to come. The stands full every game. Scramble for tickets away... We're just getting started. Our dearest rivals Chester in Flintshire were convinced it was going to be another Terry Smith like USA takeover. And the same for many of your lot as well. It's been a terrible shock for our rival fans. Particularly at Chester. In their shoes I'd be foooook'in devastated. In a state of absolute shock. Desolate. Inconsolable. A lot of other clubs' fans have noted our takeover, the massive historic boosted support, ambitious stadium and training plans etc 'We're just getting started'. You look at our ground plans, signings etc and our fantastic owners aren't shy in investing for a helthy club future. Everything's going so well on and off the pitch. This time next year. I'm confident we'll be welcoming old friends Crewe and Tranmere to The Racecourse. League Two. Their fans can come along and see how our new 5500 Kop stand is getting on.You might be visiting us as well next season Shrewwsbury! For a club just getting started...it's all pretty impressive. It's coming home this season. Football League's coming home. We can't wait!
