looking at the odds, town 5/2 them evens
if you ask me they are more hit and miss than we are, they have won 5-0 and 4-0 and lost 4-0 and 5-1
our home form if we can remember that far back is not too bad at the moment
time to get creative and surprise them, no idea how with our squad depth, stick 5 up front maybe
but I fancy us to score a couple and they will get between 0 and 6 so you never know
come on town
looking forward to seeing their away following, anyone know if they have they sold out ?
h'away the lads, pet

Could be a boring 0-0 or 4-0 either way, just just never know. Depends which Sunderland turn up.
As for their fans I hope then have a long, tiring and miserable journey here and back. Couldn't despise a set of fans much more than theirs.

Who slots in for bennet? I wouldn’t like to see Pennington moved out and Pierre play, and I’d keep vela in the middle of the park aswell. I’d give the lad Wilson a chance, he’s looked decent, big game but we haven’t got many options

As you said though could be opportunity time for Wilson.

I’d opt for Wilson. But can’t see Steve going for it. Suspect Pennington to slot in at RB, Pierre CB.

Only 800 away tickets sold so nothing like it would have been for a Saturday fixture.

Time for Wilson. No doubt about it.
With our depleted squad, we need to draw on our young talent now and give them some experience. I remember a raw Conor Goldson slotting in at right back v Arsenal at the Emirates. He did fine. Wilson will do fine too. But it would be Pierre - not Wilson - who would worry me.

Davis played RWB at times last season didn't he? But that would obviously leave a gap in central midfield with nobody obvious to fill it (Leshabela doesn't seem to count any more)
SC seems fairly fixed on his relatively core team, and doesn't seem too keen on youngsters - so would imagine it would be Pennington on the right of a back four or back 5.
But regardless, someone has to come in - the recently woeful Pierre, or a player that has barely featured recently - Leshabela, Pyke, Cosgrove or Bloxham. The fixed team does have its benefits, but what it does mean is that when injuries or suspensions come you are bringing in someone who won't have started a game for a while.

Hope we smash you.

We'll rise to the challenge of this game, a comfortable 2-0, and wondering why we can't play like this every week.
In addition The Gills will lose at home to Cheltenham, The Dons will lose at home to Crewe, and Morecambe will get stuffed 0-3 at home to Charlton thrusting us up to the heady heights of 18th

800 is a lot less than I expected. Presumed a sell out. Still a good effort for a League 1 Tuesday night game that’s a round trip of near 400 miles
We really need 3 points minimum from this double header of home games

What an ***** *********** is.
"Fickle support" indeed. Which other club would regularly get 30,000+ crowds in the Third Division for the last four seasons after the rubbish Sunderland fans have had to watch for at least the last eight years or so?
The Netflix programmes have given the club incredible exposure throughout the world, and no doubt played an instrumental part in attracting significant investment into the club. The overall feedback for the first series in particular has been extremely positive.
The vast majority of Sunderland fans are very realistic about the expectations of our club, unlike your pathetic and deluded mates from 10 miles up the road. Only those idiot Maggots would show the whole of the football world up by wearing tea towels and Arabian clobber in support of their new murdering, homophobic and misogynistic owners. They really are an unique breed, for which your daft lads should be ashamed about for having an intimate affiliation with.
And by the way, we've already sold a lot more than 800 tickets, despite it being a near 500 mile round midweek trip.

The Netflix series was brilliant. And the Liverpool one when Brendan Rogers was at the helm. Looking forward to the Wrexham one too. Gives such insight into how clubs are run.
Crowd predictions tomorrow? 6k including away?

But I think I talk for many fans at 3rd tier level when we look forward to seeing some of the 'big' clubs who end up playing at this level for a while. I'm thinking of Sunderland, Portsmouth, Sheff Weds, Derby (next season). The games against this level of club are always looked forward to, and celebrated that much more than your average win should you get one over them. Will we win tomorrow? Who knows, we are quite limited this season but can give the best a game on our day. But you can be sure that if we do win, there will be some decent celebrations for sure. Enjoy your long trip down, hopefully not quite so much the long trip back. 😉
